Debian ist so amazing. And if you want to make the "but packages old" argument, you may be interested in just using Debian testing, which has all the new stuff. The freeze was recently announced for this year too, so testing is rather stable right now.

This isn't everywhere. In German, many birds have pretty unique names: Amsel, Spatz, Kuckuck, Uhu, Eule and so on.

I Germany we call it "Höhere Gewalt". While that can refer to something supernatural, it just means "higher force" and I think it does a good job as a term.

Gboard combines Japanese and German in a way that is properly usable. I wish there was a better alternative. That being said, support for east Asian languages (and easy switching) isn't relevant for most.
