We could have done much worse than Joe Biden as president again, but I'm still glad to see the excitement behind Kamala's campaign. Hopefully she'll do a better job of advertising accomplishments.

Until just a couple of years ago that was still true. Fortunately it no longer is, but it hasn't really been long enough to turn such a massive ship around yet.

I put the original Uforia on my playlist when I was checking out Gimmick. Sunsoft sure made a lot of good but underrated titles.

Neat. The original was late enough into the NES lifecycle that I missed it altogether having moved to the flashier SNES by then -- which seems like what happened with the game with most publishers outside of Japan.

Looking at gameplay video of the original, they were clearly squeezing everything they could out of the NES for it. I'm going to have to check it out.

Chromium is open source. Chrome is not. Open source also doesn't mean that you can't charge for the compiled binaries. But that isn't my point. My point is that the reason it's free is that you're actually paying for it through the value of Google tracking and storing everything you do, but as a society have don't have to structure services this way.

It doesn't have to be free. People used to pay for licensed software with money instead of their private data. We can do that again, or there's still open source options like Firefox and it's derivatives.

For what it's worth, I agree with you and people are absolutely taking their anger out on your reasonable position.

We're at a point in our fight against a Trump-brand fascism where anything not outright attacking him can be misconstrued as support when the reader is angry enough. He is deserving of this anger, but we humans often take out that anger on the closest perceived target. In this case, your message.
