Several times I've had to wait for months on healthcare in the US system. This is such a weak argument against a socialized system.

That's doing that locally on your device, not on the carrier network. It's definitely a good solution for this problem though.

That data is made of averages which aren't worth a lot when you discuss people's feelings about the economy, and also not everyone is getting a raise equally. Many don't get one at all and those people are definitely still dealing with prices being higher.

Additionally, the cumulative rate of inflation over the last four years is over 20%, so unless my annual salary rises to be at least that much higer than it was four years ago then my real buying power has still decreased. It doesn't matter that the average raise is outpacing inflation if I never receive enough raises to at least keep up.

States with laws that are hostile to workers - as mine is - make it hard to find employment where your employer will increase your pay to at least track inflation. This kind of thing gets lost in the discussion of averages.

Just because a person might have a wealthy neighbor while they live in poverty doesn't really mean that, on average, everyone is doing fine. It still means some are still hurting.

The comment on this article that you were originally responding to was most certainly one of frustration with this situation, not one aimed at the Fed's decisions about interest rates. I feel that frustration too.

It kinda doesn't matter if the Fed made every single right move if this was still the outcome for a large swath of America. People are going to be voicing frustration every time an article about the economy is posted.

Inflation may have fallen, but prices haven't. Additionally, my annual pay is still $12k below where it should be had it only kept up with inflation over the last four years, no raises included.

Anecdotal data isn't worth much, but I think it's clear that Americans largely feel the same pressures.

You could always just do a plate that's customized to the SBC layout, like what you'd get with a PC motherboard.

That bill was a super republican bill, I honestly do not know why the Democrats keep bragging about this as if every "bipartisan" bill has merit.

I've been attempting to respond to your original comment. The Democrats are not using this to brag. They are using it to highlight the failures of the Republican party.

I walked around knocking on doors in an unfriendly neighborhood for Bernie Sanders, so you don't need to talk to me about criticizing Democrats or wanting them to move left.

You're not understanding me. Yes, the bill was awful and should not have had their support.

So given that, what exactly is the Republican justification for not supporting it? That needs to be highlighted so that perhaps enough GOP voters just stay home on election day - especially in swing states.

Like it or not, Republicans must not win this election so that our democracy survives. We will have lots of work to do after the election to push the Democrats back to supporting the average person and not the rich, but that's the next fight and not this one!

Hold your nose and vote for democracy.

That only underscores the point of advertising their refusal to pass it: it should have fully satisfied Republicans and given them most of what they want, but the Orange Shit Stain said not to pass it so they could complain about immigration during the election.

Democrats should use it as a loud and constant example of how Republicans are not leaders and have no solutions for America.
