That's not really what I was going for. Whoops. I probably should have worded it differently. The streaming-only crowd shouldn't really be affected that much is the point I meant to make.
I think the point they were trying to get across, at least in the notice they sent me, is people are losing this because crunchyroll has no implementation for these digital copies. It wasn't clear if they were going to add this feature to crunchyroll, but I bet they are waiting to see how much of a shitstorm it causes before determining if it's worth the revenue loss of the people leaving.
You can transfer your watchlist and show progress to Crunchyroll, but the only thing that doesn't transfer is digital purchases. I don't think many people actually have purchased content, so most people aren't losing anything.
Edit: dang man people hate this comment lol, I wasn't trying to say it wasn't a bad move. The less-than-most people who did purchase digital copies are getting screwed.
Edit 2: I didn't really consider the digital copies that come with dvd and blu-ray purchases. The notice they sent me sounded like they didn't have any of this implemented in crunchyroll. It smells like they are testing how much money they can save against how much revenue is lost from people leaving because of this before making any promises.
If you stay away from sketchy sites and don't click every link that says "DOWNLOAD NOW", Windows Defender and a web browser with ad-blockers should do their job well enough.
Posession crims can easily be planted by the officer or someone else. The current US prison system is based around getting tax money for locking people up, so any evidence will be questionable while that money incentive is in play.
I don't use it myself, but I believe Proton (or Proton Mail?) doesn't require any additional info. At least back when I checked it out before. There's also mail.com, as well as a plethora of pros & cons lists for email providers out there to google (with add blockers).
Most of the base building quests are completely optional. There is a mod that automates base building, turning it more into something like SimCity. I haven't tried it out, but it's a top mod over on the Nexus site.
I gave Fallout 4 another try recently, after only playing a few hours of it a couple of years back. I ended up getting sucked into it. So far, I've only used a couple of quality-of-life mods, like a high FPS fix and allowing Dogmeat to be a companion alongside any other companion, which the game had unimplemented code for.
