  • firmly agree. It's all about the presentation. For example, using what was provided above the act of just saying no was a neutral sentence. Adding afterward that that's just sus changed it from being a neutral to a negative because now you're accusing the other person of being sketchy/sus,without providing the ability to prove otherwise. That I find rude.

  • I think I agree with most of the replies here saying that the way it was handled was rude. If the opening response to me talking to someone was like that, I would feel like, okay, who pissed in your cheerios and I would have walked off.

Like others have said, there's more to the solution than a yes or no. I personally think "depends on the favor" , is a very appropriate response, or a "maybe what do you want" Or if you're planning on saying no regardless, do it how you did, without calling the other person creepy, its just extremly rude to assume someone is a creep while also shutting them down before they can actually talk.

  • I've read this four times now and I can't comprehend what they're talking about.

So is this going to lower or raise the price? Because it sounds like they're advocating torwards being against low prices? I don't understand

Now that I've read it a second time, it sounds like they're trying to keep the price low and it backfired because now it sounds like they've lost market share which is causing the price to recoil downward again?

  • Wait, they're making a grounded two? I didn't think that game would be valid for a sequal. I wonder what they will change/introduce

So far the mounts sounds fun!

  • I don't foresee Google as in a hardware/phone supplier company ever doing that. The chance of monopoly due to other clauses are too high.

Being said, I do foresee them introducing a way in Android to restrict sideloading completely, so it imitates how Apple has their environment. However, I don't foresee it becoming super popular, especially with how hard the EU is pushing for people to have more freedom with their devices.

  • ah, there is it. My reader isn't supported by fprintd so I guess I wouldn't benefit from this change. I'm glad I saw this before I decided to give mint another go

  • it wouldn't indicate for slight turns only standard turns. Normal turns on the road may engage it but It's meant as a "hey this person is actively turning" or as a "this cars wheel is turned that way" so you know the direction it will go if it started moving

but honestly even if it did, it isn't hard to see "oh that car is on a curve obviously it's not turning"

  • agreed, I don't think the blinker switch should be removed, but a late indicator is better than no indicator.

  • it wouldnt have mattered anyway if you left during the time most people did. Reddit rolled back mass deleted data and manually deleted accounts during that duration so that comments remained without usernames.

  • I've actually always found it weird with all the automation vehicles have, that blinkers aren't linked to the wheel. it already automatically disengages when turning, it shouldn't be too hard to have it auto engage as well when turning

  • then the code maintainers are doing it wrong.

Any information that shouldn't be public knowledge such as specs, account credentials, access tokens etc should be in a configurable/dynamic format such as an ENV variable or a config file, that way confidential info isn't part of the working tree.

This should not be an issue in a properly maintained codebase.

  • This right here is what really grinds my gears. When companies own an IP, refuse to do anything on it, and then engage in litigation when someone makes a fan-based project against that IP, or someone redistributes their IP that they're no longer selling.

Either ride the horse or leave the stable.

  • chiming in, even excluding self host, I wouldn't recommend wix, their sites are so bloated and take forever for me to load, and I've had Firefox just straight refuse to load pages before that are wix run.

  • This is me being selfish I'm fully aware, but I don't want the EU to pull from those companies because it seems they're the only countries willing to fight for the good causes and if they aren't then the rest will suffer 10fold. At least in it's current state it slowly feeds back to everyone else, I'm concerned if they pull the plug it'll be full on anti-comsumer hellscape.

  • it's the only way to run the platform in my mind. It removes a lot of the hive mind aspect of it letting you just enjoy the platform how you want and give /your/ opinion of things instead of others opinions of things. I've had my scores disabled since a month or two after I started and it's been so much more enjoyable.

  • Ontario had the right idea imo, embargo US goods and then push through the struggles. Sadly it seems they were the only one willing to play hard ball. Everyone else folded like a deck of cards.

  • he probably shared the same ideology as op as doesn't believe it will be signed.

  • omg don't get me started on this.

My grandparents are avid Red Sox fans, but they were paying 150$+ a month on cable, so I moved them to fubo, this worked for a few years but now it seems that they are trying to throw them on as many channels as possible to force a higher package. Last year he asked me what apple tv was, and I said a streaming service, why? and he said that they had a game on it that /only/ was on apple tv. it was a SINGLE GAME and they had exclusive broadcast rights on it. Needless to say he missed that game, but that's ridiculous.

  • I mean fair, but when Encrypted DM went live, Twitter was just starting to get into the AI field, and it was amidst a very uncertain state at that time, so I wouldn't be surprised if they haden't even thought of it.
