  • Whomever may be reading this, I've recently found incredible luck with dawn dish soap.

    • Run glasses and hands under water
    • Put glasses to the side and lather dish soap on your fingers.
    • Using your lathered fingers, gently apply soap to glasses
    • Put glasses to the side and rinse off your hands so they're not still soapy
    • Reduce water pressure so it's gentle, constant stream of water.
    • Rinse off glasses

I only really clean my glasses once a month ish. Maybe twice. Of course if I smear my glasses or it's an eventful week, I clean as needed. That's just how often I clean them.

  • My payment was late because my servicer changed over COVID and when the auto-pay kicked in my bank rejected the withdrawal. Said they were an unrecognized entity or something.

Had to get my servicer and bank on a 3-way call just to pay my loan. 🤦‍♂️

  • I honestly think there's a gray area here and it's worth talking to a lawyer if anything. There are certainly some protections for peoples under 40. Being denied a promotion because you're "too young" is certainly a protection. The catch is you have to prove it.

This case is easy to prove though if there are any laws over this.

Edit: but now that I think about it, this is only really a protection if you're already hired at the place. If you just slam the door on people before they can get in, discrimination seems to be legal.

  • I use Megalodon as my Mastodon client and Sync as my Lemmy client right now. Does anybody know of any clients which work for both Lemmy and Mastodon at the same time on Android?

Alternatively, any good Kbin clients? 😊

  • It goes deeper than that. On some of those keyboards, you'll see that there aren't even number keys and other somewhat common keys such as ()$&! And more.

These types of keyboards are almost always programmable. If you're familiar with the FN key, then these keyboards have more advanced FN keys.

Press one programmed FN key, the entire keyboard might turn into a functional number pad. Press a different programmed FN key, asdfghj might turn into F1 F2 F3 etc. Press another programmed FN key, you can control media playback, control your mouse, and maybe even have a few macros!

These keyboards are ortholinear keyboards, that's what this grid layout is. The firmware to achieve this level of customization is called QMK. It's not just ortholinear keyboards that have QMK ☺️.

  • A 60ft tall 4ft wide tree costs $4k to remove in your neck of the woods? In my area, it costs that much to remove a tree a third of that size and I shopped around and got multiple quotes too 😣

  • There was a time where the company I worked at got hacked and the company VPN was down. It was a glorious 3 days of free PTO and probably the only time I was thankful for being salaried.
