  • Be that as it may, you still hear stories about how "my worldview changed when I went to college and met people of different backgrounds."

For every 1 of those people there are numerous kids who will listen to discussion and have not lost their empathy. Kids can be smarter than you think.

  • I would LOVE to have kids one day. It is something my wife and I are looking forward to. We are just wanting to save up a few more moneys and it's a situation I realize we are fortunate to be in.

But we have waited so long and are waiting a little bit longer because of money because kids deserve experiences in life.

I'm sure it's incredibly easy for this lady to say "kids don't need nice things" while coming from a household that could afford everything this world has to offer.

Growing up I was lucky my dad worked extra hours so I could play sports. Up until 3 years ago (I am 29 now) I never was able to travel and never left my own state. Up until 1 and a half year ago I have never left the Country. All that to say there was a lot of anxiety and trauma I had to live with growing up. And I realize even still that some folks might consider me lucky.

In today's world, kids should never have to worry about where their food is coming from. What a detached worldview these assholes have if they're genuine.

  • Outside of the age thing, those points all still ring true for many cities that did not buy into the whole carbrain thing.

Under the guise of the "freedom" cars being, they have taken away community, third places, affordable housing and infrastructure, and my more things just for the sake of making everywhere accessible via car.

  • Sen. McBride or someone else should get a transgender man as an aid or something.

Watch how fast they change their minds when there's a huge, jacked, manly, dude going into the ladies restroom. Bonus points for grunting and making the most aggressive shits.

  • If Republicans truly saw companies hiring illegal immigrants as an issue, they'd be able to easily crack down on business owners doing the hiring and make the punishment more than just a slap on the wrist.

No, the cruelty towards other humans is the point. They don't care about the non-existent issue.

  • Can someone educate me on this one? I understand people hate their jobs and would rather be doing something else, and maybe under socialism there are more opportunities to do stuff you enjoy, but there still is work to be done. Would the work not still have start times and end times throughout the week?

Like, ditch the shitty corporate job and make art or something fulfilling. But you'll still have to go to work on Monday? (Okay, maybe art is a bad example because that would be more contract based and you'd work as needed, but the question still stands)
