  • I do scan as you shop. So when I get to the checkout, answer a question about whether everything scanned OK and then pay. But today we had 70+ items in our shop and got flagged for random spot check. Some exasperated cashier, frustrated she actually had to do some work and couldn't just sit there having excess calories around her waist weighing her down heavily breathed "I need to check 40+ of these". So that took forever.

  • Keep it up. We had a step challenge at work and I was regularly getting like 14,000-22,000 a day for the month. Now that's over I'm averaging like 5.2k a day and I should sort that.

  • I don't think it's "prioritise humans over the planet" but more "we should be able to look after one another as a base level of being human. If we can't figure that out how the hell can we focus on bigger things like the planet". Not saying what we should and shouldn't do but just throwing shade at our ability.

  • I ended up getting a Stadia Premiere Edition (Controller and a Chromecast Ultra) for £20 down from £70 and tried it for essentially free (Stadia Pro 12 months free).

The got £20 refunded when they wound down - announced 3/4 of the way through my Stadia trial.

So all free and got a long cabled USB-C charger, a newer Chromecast than my old one, which ended up on the 2nd TV, and a controller I can repurpose.

    Wild.

  • "Clothes are for the person wearing them, nothing about this has to do with driving attention."

I agree here, but there are plenty of women who wear specific clothes to garner attention. That, too, is their perogative. At the end of the day the attention is still for them, not the person giving the attention, so it still ties back to your initial point I guess!
