They are pushing away the overwhelming majority of countries. The only countries they are doing nice with appears to be Russia, Israel (nothing changed there) and El Salvador, whom they are selling slaves to. The El Salvadoran dictator is such a worthless dipshit that his crack down on crime probably will end up causing more problems long term than now (and no, it would not have worked in Colombia or Mexico due to the way how El Salvadoran gangs operate).

With every other country they are pissing everyone off. The Chinese, the New Zealanders, Australians, all of Europe (except for Russia) and their racism probably won't endear them much longer to South Asian nations save for the ultra racist Hindu nationalists.

I also have osmand. At any rate I wish I could uninstall Google entirely off my computer. My dad was the one who made my gmail account back in 2005 (when it was invited only, if you can believe/remember that), and I have been using it for all my governmental and important stuff since. I have plenty of other emails, but most of them are for inconsequential stuff.

This is why labor unions really started to fail in the 60s and 70s. The union guys valued race far more than class and the powers of unions diminished.

They have been doing it well before reconstruction. Once upon a time there wasn't that much racism in the US, but after Bacon's rebellion the elites realized that whites and blacks were working together and have since then been pitting them against one another.

They never asked to see my phone at the border. But the last time I crossed they were getting a hell of a lot more aggressive. They got less aggressive when I became a Canadian citizen, but when I only had my Lebanese passport they almost always brought me in for more questioning. It was kinda bizarre. They probably aggressively searched my luggage, but I can't be sure of that.

That is a good option. I am actually quite careful about what I use my phone for. I still on occasion use Google maps, but i turn location history off and I always delete previous searches.

I am aware that this does not remove them from google's database, but it does make your movements not immediately obvious.

Also i would delete browser history and log out of all social media accounts (and disable remembering usernames/passwords) and even uninstall some apps in order to make who you interact eith less immediately obvious. Once you clear the border fully you can reinstall everything at your earliest convenience.

It happened to a well known Canadian actress (she is well known for her role in the American pie films). She was detained for months over what would have been a tiny paperwork error just a few years ago. She said that the women she was imprisoned also had no criminal record but were treated like murderers.

Tor browser/ I use a VPN most of the time. But for REALLY sensitive shit I turn Tor on. A lot of stuff can be purged off your computer. I use Windows 11 (haven't migrated to Linux yet! Ugh!) but I have some failsafes to reduce my location data and the amount I am exposed. It isn't perfect (nothing is) but it is better than nothing.

Even if American democracy somehow survives, Trump drops dead of a heart attack tomorrow, and the Republicans fall into such massive disarray as to be impotent AND the democrats somehow grow a spine and actually do something, the damage is already done.

Justin Trudeau passed more gun bans than any other PM since the 90s. That was a massive mistake as given what Trump was doing they should have had an expansion of shooting sports and having a ready made resistance force.
