  • Neither can I, but it might be a combination of several issues. Like I said, if the cell is older (and you can reach it easily) just swap it, should be a 2032 (aka THE button cell). If it works, perfect, if it doesn't no harm was done.

  • Certainly not a computer expert, but consider the option that the battery on your motherboard might be running low. If the hardware itself is older, I would try swapping the button cell. I've seen many weird issues get resolved this way, although in theory it should not mess up anything but system time.

  • Somewhat more extreme than what I meant. Really, when people actively harm others this very much goes beyond the scope of this unpopular take. I meant it more as a "parading your new favourite music" or whenever someone advocates for some kind of alternate calender. People that are very strict on their vegan lifestyle. You know, harmless stuff.

  • I am going to assume you mean people who think they know it all on that topic and everyone who lives a different lifestyle is somehow misled. But good sir/ma'am/honored person: Your ratio surpasses even mine. That definitely makes for an unpopular opinion.

  • This is a rather common phenomenon where one person feels enlightened and as such has to share it with everyone else. Be it people who feel very strong about veganism, nuclear power, different systems of measurement, voting, certain music genres, anything really. It's usually not something bad but can be annoying. For most people it's a normal response to learning something new, but it can be a reinforcing circle if a lot of people gather in one bubble and share new "facts" about the topic, that's when you suddenly have swathes of people preaching about their favourite topic.

  • The picture was really screwing with my head. Took a bit to realise I am looking at the tab from the front. Since you only see the head and the rest os obfuscated by the water, it looks a bit like a pipe burst that is currently launching a piece up on a jet of water.

  • Look at it this way: When a diesel sub is endangered, they can turn off everything and I mean EVERYTHING. Quiet as a mouse that doesn't exist. However, it will have to resurface eventually. A nuclear sub cannot do that. The cooling pumps have to keep running. But they can stay under water pretty much indefinitely (until they run out of food).

  • Pretty much my thinking. I'd rather have someone take care of personal hygiene than of their body odor. Save for a very few special cases where you really have to use deodorant, it is perfectly normal and acceptable to wash regularly and only deodorant sporadically when really necessary. I personally even prefer a person's "natural" (not implying that natural = good) smell to no smell at all. If you want to impress, use perfume.
