  • I learned recently that the theme park "six flags" is short for six flags over Texas. One of those flags is the Confederate flag. They are celebrating being under the Confederate flag...at a theme park.

  • Republicans are such a sensitive, prideful group, that this really may demotivate them. Instead of arguing with your uncle on the topic, simply responding, "trump and Vance are really weird" is going to have them feel shame and really demotivate them.

They love to trigger the libs and get them all riled up, saying "really? Those weirdos, okay" is amazing

  • Yes. There are a decent swath of votes who vote Republican but aren't tuned in super well. Studies show that only about 30% support trump directly. That leaves 15% to 20% of his voters who simply vote the party or vote based on "it's better for my wallet"

By running on racism and other distasteful platforms, it will chip into that normies pool, and they are likely to not turn out. Not all of the normies will see it or be affected by it, but if even 5% of the voting population chooses to not vote over voting for trump, it will be a disaster for trump and down ballot Republicans.

  • It's wild that if multiple things we implemented republicans would never win the presidency again.

Any anti voter suppression method, like universal mail in voting

    Ranked choice voting

    Removal of the electoral college

I am sure there are even more.

Remember that republicans are the minority, they just show up to vote more often (and aren't actively suppressed)

  • There was an acknowledged gap in polling in 2016 that excluded likely trump voters. It has since been resolved and polling in 2020 and 2022 was highly accurate.

With that said, I am not advocating for taking polls as gospel, 2016 showed us there can be flaws and mistakes. At the end of the day, I don't give a fuck what the polls say, we all need to show up and vote. If Kamala had a 50 point lead in my state, I am still showing up and voting for her.
