  • If you have allergies and don't want pills or spray then I think you should definitely try the nasal rinse others have suggested. It literally washes the allergens out of you sinuses. I recommend a neti sprayer as I get better flushing than the pot. The one I used is similar to the one made by "tone life" if you want to search it.

  • Seriously, embrace the situation. People are interested in hanging out with/near you. If you are the person who stops all the kids seeing the ducks you could end up being seen as the scrooge of the town. Then nobody will like you. If you want nobody to interact with then maybe you should live away from people.

It might seem like those kids have nothing to offer to you but their parents might. My wife makes jam for our friendly neighbors...

To address your question though, you could make it official, one day a week the kids come to see the ducks but maybe you need it quiet the rest of the time to work or whatever. Tell them when to come and they can get it out of their system.

  • It's not more efficient in how people want to get there. The people who stand and ride the escalator have no rush to get there quicker so they get there on time. The people who want/need to go faster get there as fast as possible. In your scenario everyone MUST be slow, no? What am I missing here?

  • I'm wondering if there are losses of water. Like leaks etc. If it's a really large amount of water even a small percentage could be a lot. I'm really just spit balling here though really. I think that's a pretty efficient use of water actually. The thermal conductivity is high compared to air and any cooling techniques which don't include AC are surely better overall.

  • I think it would be easier than that if they alter the scoring. E.g. with 2 women, 3 men on the court then you have normal scoring. With 3 women, 2 men then you have 3 pointers as standard and 4 for what would normally be a 3. 3 free throws instead of 2 etc. Would really push getting more good women in for a power play. Especially when chasing a game.

  • I'll piggyback this and recommend teachsurfing.org

You can teach your skills all over the world. Get invited by institutes that need your skills. Run workshops etc. Or just learn stuff yourself from people visiting your own or close by cities.

  • I've been listening to the "behind the bastards" podcast. The one about him is very interesting. The guy described him as the first modern bastard. Used propaganda etc. The hand policy was actually terrible to hear of. I'd recommend it, even though a lot of those episodes are tough going they are very interesting and the guests lighten up the show pretty well.

  • The narrative isn't even valued. How many times does Trump say something and then pretend he never said it. Or other members of the GOP say "I don't think he really means that". All that's valued is pissing off the liberals by being arrogant, loud jerks.

  • I recommend reading a book/series you already read in your own language. Then with context you can infer a lot of words which allows you to read quicker. It's not as exciting since you know the plot but can be nostalgic to read one of your favorites.

  • They probably meant North Macedonia. Macedonia changed it's name since there is also Macedonia in Greece which is presumably the southern part of Macedonia. There's a lot of places like that in Europe. Usually remnants of old kingdoms. Tyrol is a region encompassing part of Northern Italy and Western Austria for example. Bohemia is another example which historically was a lot bigger than the region of Czech nowadays.
