The initial performance is always decent. The problem is the planned obsolessence. To compare two 2017 phones: my mom's Huawei p10 and my Redmi 4X, for example. The p10's geekbench score is ~2* the Redmi's and it's visible even in simple use. Web browsing works fine on the p10, but on the Redmi, it takes way longer to render a page slightly heavier, than wikipedia. OSMand works on the p10 perfectly, but on the Redmi, it takes very long to calculate routes and crashes often. If you want to use a phone for ~10 years, it's usually better to invest in a performant one.

Most of EU still drives manuals (most older models and newer floor models of VW group). I've been in an automatic once in my entire life.

And how do you engine brake with an automatic, is that a thing?

But the performance is terrible for the price. The only jack phone I would reccomend is poco f5.

And recently also top end midrangers for some reason.

Yep, I replaced the fan after 1,5 (or 1.5) years with a cheap aliexpress one and this one works way better than the original, but it's still very loud and could actually be used as a heater for a small room. Plus I forgot, the DVD drive died last year and I won't be replacing it.

Well my HP 250 G5 still somewhat works. The touchpad has serious ghost-touch problems and the housing is falling apart from just 2 disassemblies.

Use pliers and try not to break anything. It worked with my Lattitude, but the heatsink was still stuck on the CPU.

Well, I won't enjoy loosing ~1060€ for the license, but I feel like I would at least enjoy driving a car.

Wow, thanks. I'm kind off sceptical of the aliexpress adapters and I don't even know if the tape player even works. I might test it with some kind of religious tape from my grandma.

If you aren't listening to C'est la Vie by Bewitched, you are good, but the Sabrina (animated) theme song is actually decent.

But if a city is already ruined or you live in a village without a bus station, it makes travel a lot easier.

Not yet there, but it will probably be something on the radio, as I don't have any tapes (which is the only thing it supports). Could I still buy them anywhere?
