My dad used an education savings account to funnel my bar mitzvah money and birthday money in “for college”. Kept telling me I’m so lucky because my college will be paid off. Cheats on my mom, buys a Lincoln MKX, and flees to Russia instead.
Getting my motorcycle learners permit, surprising my wife in 2 weeks with a resort vacation, maybe (hopefully) buying my first motorcycle in the summer, receiving my VIRPIL flight yoke in spring, going to Banff for my best friend’s wedding, watching the American empire collapse.
So many people who are mentally and cognitively bankrupt own houses. They never do any maintenance on them, or if they do, they never do it right. And yet, their houses aren’t (always) falling apart.
Houses are more sturdy than our anxieties convince us. Fix things little by little as they come, prioritize what comes first. Your house won’t fall apart or blow up. This is what I tell my wife when she gets nervous about something creaking.

This is wild. I’m referring to the amendments in your constitution in the event of tyranny. Even here in your comment and the other’s, you’re waiting for congress or your senate or whatever part of your government to save you.
No one is coming to save you. Save yourselves. You have a constitutional amendment for this exact moment in time.

Congress has made it explicitly clear that they serve to rubber stamp anything and everything Trump signs as an EO. They work for and serve the executive office only
I’ve seen this happen before in real life so extreme or not, it’s definitely the norm in upstate New York at the very least. Had the city called on us while we were out of the country and we came back to all 6 of our small fruit trees dug up and tracks all over the front lawn from an excavator and a $2500 bill from the city.
