  • I'm a straight man and I'd also be deeply uncomfortable if a friend of mine just randomly asked me if a random woman passing by is hot. It's a weird thing to randomly ask.

I'd be even more uncomfortable with ANYONE(including women) saying something as generalized as "women are crazy". Screw the "different tone" BS, there is NO tone you can say that in with a straight face where it's not at least a little misogynistic, and a LOT of tones you can say it in where it is SUPER misogynistic.

  • Creation is built on code over 20 years old at this point, and it shows

You can just as easily say the same thing about Unreal Engine, Frostbite, CryEngine, etc... all of these engines are built on decade(s) old code to some degree. The problem isn't Creation Engine, it's Bethesda. Unreal isn't a magic bullet. The results if they used Unreal at this point would likely be worse, not better.

  • Welcome to literally all emergency rooms anywhere. They're emergency rooms, the bigger the emergency, the further up the line you move. A spider bite in many instances is not that big of an emergency. A spider bite from an experimental radioactive spider with who knows what done to it? That's at the "getting a government agency involved" level of emergency.

  • Probably little to none for most pizzas since they're so thin, but with something like a deep dish you might end up with cooked cheese/toppings and doughy crust, or cooked crust and burnt cheese/toppings, or vice versa if the heating element is on the bottom.

  • Okay, how are you going to install a browser if you don't know what to type? Sure, I know FF is Mozilla.Firefox, but not everyone does. And besides, I actually want Vivaldi(...only as an example) instead, which I don't know the package name for. Without a pre-existing browser or external help, how am I supposed to install Vivaldi?

I'm not disagreeing there should be options on OS setup, firefox being pre-installed with no input is barely better than Edge being pre-installed, but no browser at all by default is just stupid for most people. If we're going with the idea of options on setup, the no browser at all option should exist, but only if it's behind at least 1 but preferably 2 "Are you absolutely sure?" confirmation checks.

  • Where the fuck would that be a popular opinion?

Quick! You need to install a program, but you can't remember the exact name of it. You have no browser installed nor a GUI package manager. What do you do?

  • Cast iron is nearly impossible to "ruin", the idea that you can is nothing more than a huge circlejerk. Even a completely rust covered cast iron pan can likely be made basically good as new with a little effort.

Obviously restoring your pan every time you wanna use it isn't practical, so you still wanna take care of it, but actually permanently ruining it? Good luck.

  • Cold winter? We used to get blizzards in October here, now we barely get any snow at all throughout the entirety of winter, and it's frequently warm enough to be comfortable outside in nothing but a shirt and shorts.

I swear every single year people forget how actually mild winter has become. It got down to -50F here once years ago thanks to the polar vortex and ever since most everyone starts on how "it's gonna be a really cold winter this year" everytime it drops to the fucking 40-50F range. When you point out they said the same thing last year and it was even milder than when they said it 2 years ago, they often just double down being willfully ignorant and insist last winter was "soooo bad" despite it being warmer on average than Fall was 15 years ago.

  • Google as whole no, maybe, but that slogan was absolutely mocked from the start. Remember that this was right around when shit like The Matrix, Hackers, etc... were big pillars of the internet. "Don't be evil" inherently sets off alarm bells regardless of anything else.
