  • You're so very kind to say so :)

I feel very lucky that someone enjoys these, because there's a definite 'cozy' feeling when I sit down to type them up!!!

  • Ohhhhh thanks! I wondered where I'd seen it, it must have been there (I rarely visit reddit now!)

Kinda sad, it makes me feel for the people who try hard to create some buzz and it just collapses like that :(

  • I'm so happy to see your daughter stealing your Steam Deck (even if you're not!) and enjoying some fun games. Have you tried Cassette Beasts? She might enjoy that, it's my fav of the Pokemon clones!

  • I'm scared to admit I haven't ever played New Vegas!

I've spent a terrifying amount of time in 4, and even the first two on PC, but...New Vegas is one of my 'one day' games!

  • Thank you!!!

I keep getting to the end of each 'spot' I pick to travel to and think okay, back to real life now! then I run a poll on Mastodon or something and just run away. It's terrible adulting, but it's rather lovely escapism. Thanks for saying so :)

And - such thanks for appreciating these. I get turned into a odd bundle of nerves each time - it's something silly like wondering if what I find interesting others will roll their eyes at, but seeing discussions happen around games, and finding the different kind of news most places ignore? Makes me so happy!!!!

    THANK YOU!

  • Add to this you'd have to (maybe?) factor in what Amazon would say, because they now own the James Bond I.P.?

Its tricky, but its a shame we never got a 'pure' Nightdive version!

  • I'd say it's inevitable. With Anbernic (arguably the bigger name of them all) saying no more, I'd say they'll all halt them sooner rather than later.

No problem for those of us in Europe or...anywhere else in the world, but I'm sad for those stuck in America (well, those who voted for a different leader anyway) who have to suffer.

  • I'm so glad you've been enjoying it!

I'm now on my second play-through of it, and I'm just spending all my time delivering boxes and getting those stars. I love how in one moment I'm just happily admiring the beautiful landscape and climbing a mountain side, then when I do a story mission things go from 0 to 1,000 in a heartbeat.

Typical Kojima, and that's why I love it. I'm so glad you're having fun! It's a very divisive game :)

  • Okay, okay, there's some iffy formatting on this one. Sorry!

  • Maybe it's nostalgia, but their cute little format and the huge selection of mods and aftermarket parts just makes me happy

  • There's a big, big, big community for those out there! So many options for doing so, and even custom cabinets that have been made to make displaying them easier, too!

  • Its funny how often I am seeing that same sentiment (missing the slim 3DSish style cases) shared everywhere. Not too many fans of the Switch cases!

  • Oh this is so lovely!

I'm so glad you're making the most of your Steam Deck, now next up you can look at installing my friend's project: RetroDECK on your Steam Deck to emulate all the games from the older years! (and if you need any pointers or help doing it, reach out to me!)

I find the same thing with GOG games, and I tend to find myself checking the 'details' section of a game's page to see if it has built-in controller support before buying these days, because my Deck is used mostly for GOG titles :)

  • I've had them all!

I had an original V1 which I had the jig/payload method for, and I've had a couple of OLEDs which I micro-soldered the chips onto. But after selling all mine off long ago (I preferred to emulate the games on my Steam Deck after getting it!), I picked up a cheap V2 and chipped it, too!

I love themezer (choosing themes are like a daily fun thing for me to do!)

  • Since there's now ten of them, I figured it's just easier for someone who is curious to click on my profile and sort by 'posts'

  • I got to the System Shock games after Prey (2017), not only am I WAY too young to have been around for them, but it just kinda went past me. But after that spiritual successor I visited the System Shock games, and I love them!

I'm hoping the SS2 is good, because I loved what they did with the first! It's never meant to be a remake, just a polish of the game itself.

  • I think they might have finally beaten their Nintendo curse though: one console is a huge success, the next is a fair failure. The Switch 2 will be a winner, but there's no way it can be the same cultural phenomenon that the first was (I'd say)

And thank you, you're very kind to say!!!

  • Oh how odd!

Thank you for letting me know, from the next post I share I'll start including links to all the previous installments I've made, to make it easier for people to navigate to them. What a strange thing to not be able to find them, I'm sorry!

  • Oh that's so sweet of you!!!

Thanks, I'm glad you find my nonsense I share fun! :)

Frendica is one of the few I haven't actually checked out (yet), but maybe one day I'll make an acc there too!

  • Thanks! I edited the link, I'm not sure how I messed that up!!!
