  • Honestly I haven't used Proxmox, but I assume they can share storage without having to set it up like a network drive? If not, SMB would work.

  • If you go with TrueNAS, you're stuck with TrueNAS/Docker. If you go ProxMox, you can theoretically do.....anything. But of course that comes with some added complexity.

  • Then use FSR and run the game at 800p. Honestly the pixel density isn't THAT much higher with this screen. I'd say the fact that it's OLED is the biggest upgrade; improved contrast and color accuracy is very noticeable.

Having said that, I'm not in a hurry to void my warranty by trying this relatively difficult hardware upgrade. Maybe if my screen breaks I'll consider it.

Edit: not OLED apparently, but the screen has better colors according to everyone that's used it.

  • In its current state I would stick with Windows. But if they make it shittier and shittier.... theoretically there is a point where gamers would start switching en masse. Whether or not it will get that bad is debatable.

  • Yeah and it's getting closer all the time. I don't think we're that far from a "tipping point" where Windows gets so shitty, and simultaneously Linux gets so good (for gaming specifically) that it would be silly not to switch.

    Any day now....

  • Well, it's not GONE. There are still plenty of games that won't run well on Linux, or they won't allow online multiplayer because their anti-cheat software is restricted to Windows. But that number is getting smaller every day.

  • Wow, that song in the second half sounds oddly similar to the Mortal Kombat theme......and this game came out 3 years before MK.

  • People keep saying it performs miles better than Nextcloud (which performs like shit in my experience, even on capable hardware). But I haven't tried OwnCloud yet.

  • You can get some surprising detail out of an Ender 3, especially if you pop on a smaller nozzle.

  • If it's just you, and you're willing to install it on all your devices, Tailscale is the best option IMO. If you need to share things with others, use CF Tunnels.

  • For the record, a Plex pass isn't required to watch remotely....but if you like Plex, sticking with Plex is fine. Jellyfin is cool and open source, but it doesn't have any killer features that Plex is missing. They both do basically the same thing, it's the minor details that are different.

  • Yeah I was in NYC, rode the subways a lot, and never got a notification.....

  • Why are you posting AI generated spam?

Edit: Brand new account, zero comments, just blogspam. It's a bot.

  • Right, but it wouldn't show those people in the seed number. If it says there are 9 seeders, that means that 9 are actually online right now.

  • Publicly complaining that a restaurant's prices are too high and their crappy food isn't worth it.....while still going there and buying their shit????? The logic behind that is mind boggling. Just stop giving them money. I didn't even know their prices were this high because I haven't eaten at a McDonald's in years.

Taco Bell is still cheap, right? Go there instead of McDonald's. Vote with your wallet.

  • The letters from your ISP have nothing to do with them monitoring your traffic. When you torrent, you're connecting to a public network of seeders and leechers. Copyright holders pay people to monitor that public list of IP addresses, and they record your IP (because you connected publicly, in the open, and uploaded or downloaded). Then, they send your ISP a letter reporting that your did an illegal thing, and asking them to punish you. Finally, your ISP sends you a letter making some vague threats and asking you to stop. They might make you do a training course to educate you on why piracy is bad, and they might cut off your internet until you pass a quiz and promise not to pirate stuff again. They go through this charade not because it actually accomplishes anything, but because they don't give a shit, and they're just doing the bare minimum to keep lawyers off their back.

  • Nope. I'd argue that Mullvad is not for most pirates, unless you're actually worried about being jailed for your piracy (depends on what country you're in). If you just want to get the letters from your ISP to stop, there are much cheaper VPNs that can do that.

Mullvad is for actual privacy, which many VPNs don't really give you. If you gave them an email address and credit card, then it ain't private, kids!

  • I think we need more info here. I'm guessing this is a locally hosted site? How are you exposing it to the web? DDNS? Reverse proxy? Honestly it's hard to diagnose without knowing your IP, which you definitely shouldn't give us.

Edit: you can check your site here, maybe they'll give you details on why it was blacklisted: https://transparencyreport.google.com/safe-browsing/search
