The rest of the world has adopted other cross-platform standards, like WhatsApp in Europe. It's only US users that are stubbornly married to SMS texting, so this is a uniquely American problem.
What the hell are you talking about? Consider reading the actual article before commenting something snarky. WD owns SanDisk, and this article is shitting all over them.
Here's a short version if you can't be bothered: It's a follow-up to this article from May where they reported on a bug in SanDisk firmware that erased your data. WD claims to have fixed it with an update, but that appears to be false. The fact that these drives with a high failure rate are also being sold with a deep discount makes it seem like WD/SanDisk is just trying to get rid of defective hardware as quickly as possible while minimizing dollars lost, at the expense of your data.
I was about to argue with you and say it might be TPU, but this looks like hard PLA to me. Soft TPU wouldn't have a hinge in the middle. And the fact that the description doesn't say the material is discouraging. OP, look elsewhere for a TPU grip.
Latency and stability are different things. Latency is how long keystrokes or mouse movement take to get to your computer. Instability would manifest as INCORRECT or entirely missed keystrokes or mouse movements. Bluetooth is also more vulnerable to interference from things like microwaves, another thing that might cause instability.
Bluetooth keyboards (usually Logitech) have worked okay for me in the past, but they don't always reliably wake up from sleep and connect quickly when I try to use them. Bluetooth mice are a bigger concern to me, they feel noticed slower and my mouse makes jerky movements. You'll notice that nearly all gaming mice have a dongle so that you can avoid Bluetooth.
Yeah WTF? Companies that have medical data, other PII.... they're going to have to cancel their Zoom contracts right? I guess that's up to their lawyers to interpret/decide.
There's the latency, and there's also the unreliable connection, it's just not as stable as the mice with dedicated dongles. And it's more vulnerable to interference. Battery life is FAR superior on Bluetooth, though; that's the main upside.
Firefox Containers help, I have a separate container for each client. Actually I've been using Arc Browser more recently, it's a great browser but not FOSS.
This is a very important point. Eating some meat isn't inherently bad for the environment. Eating TOO MUCH meat is TERRIBLE for the environment, and not very good for you.
Meat used to be a fancy treat for most families, an expensive meal for special occasions. Eating a heaping portion of meat for every meal is fucking ridiculous, but that's exactly what many people do.
Right, the solution is to DRASTICALLY reduce our carbon output AND ALSO do carbon capture stuff. But without the former, the latter isn't nearly enough to do anything significant. We're currently producing A LOT more carbon than we could ever capture, even with optimistic estimates. Reduction is the most important action here.
Lollll shit, I want to be able to downvote things
