I do watch some scientific/historical YouTube channels, but I try to keep them limited and vetted. I don't mind (and actually enjoy) listing to someone passionately monologue regarding their hobby/favourite piece of media. That's a low stakes topic where even if they're giving me wrong info it's not terribly harmful.
Not to say that 'professional'(syndicated/broadcasted) documentaries are all truth, considering the History channel. I just like my background noise to not lead me down an awful rabbit hole.
Unfortunately a lot of these streaming platforms purposefully run at a loss to increase numbers, then start to raise prices as they think they can/need to. I'm deep enough into to ecosystem that I tried it out, but same conclusion.
That and I don't watch soap operas other than S.O.A.P. It's a very different genre, but it has been called an opera in space before, so you've got that haha
Edit; I also has said 'one of the first' so non definitive. I just meant in terms of 'prime-time television'. It seems like people didn't like that.
Babylon 5! I was born in 94, when it premiered and have always watched it (along with Star Trek). It was one of the first shows that really pushed the continuous plot over serialized and it makes rewatches a game of finding the hints.
I've said before that Babylon 5 is the more realistic depiction of if we had made contact with aliens over star trek (at least the early ones), but the heros are still that.
I'll add another bee one to the pile; I had a lady very confidently tell me that you don't see bees during the winter because they migrate. I wanted to correct her, but all I could think of was Monty Python. "Are you suggesting bees migrate‽" it's also hard to explain that they also don't hibernate, but create a sort of space heater around the queen.
I personally didn't watch it as I dropped off the marvel train before it aired, but that sounds like a good commentary on the concept of 'hysterical' and it's etymology. Women have often been found to be 'rampaging hormones' so having the physical manifestation of that makes pretty good rhetorical sense. Maybe you just didn't know the history behind it.
I actually jumped into the Imperium server recently and finally duo boxed. The real probably is that the down time that could be filled getting to know other players in your level range is slim.
I admit I've been having a lot of fun with New World following the first expansion. The artifact gear you can grind usually has a 6 minute timer (some are dungeon locked, and one spawn every 90 minutes according to server day/night schedule) and it's made me nostalgic. The mob has nothing to do but chat, and it's been really enjoyable so far.
That's my ramble done, but anything EQ related gets me nostalgic.
It the 'legitimate business' catch. In this instance I'd imagine it's a time based message based off of purchase. And as you said, highly likely from different departments that keep separate DNC lists
This time around it’s against Israeli occupation, in the backdrop of the looming defeat of the United States and NATO in the Ukraine War — presenting a spectacle of history repeating unabridged.
How did they justify this statement? A press release from Putin. Not really interested in what else they have to say.
Where did it come from, where did it go? Where did it come from Glitter Cum Joe?
