I managed to dodge a lot of bullets growing up as a ‘gamer girl’. I played EQ instead of WoW and later on instead of CoD lobbies I played MAG. Still have really fond memories of this group of older guys that took me in as their medic. Never anything creepy, they just knew I was happy to play that role and got pretty good at it.
I use sleep mode on iOS and that will block basically everything. Emergency alerts will still go through, which is important to me as I live in a very wildfire prone area. My mom is white listed as well for family emergencies. Sleep mode will also allow a call to ring if they call twice back to back and that has allowed my brother to reach me in the past during an emergency. I’d be too nervous to completely cut data and cell service.
RGB isn’t something I actively seek, but most thing come with it regardless. I have my gaming PC under my desk on the left side. The case has a glass panel and the light bounces off the TV cabinet next to it. I use Open RGB to set my LEDs to teal and purple inside the case and my Razor mouse. I have a voyager split keyboard that can self-set its RGB without any external app. Long winded way of saying I do customise it so it isn’t too garish, but I only care about backlighting on my keyboard (I still don’t really have home row down)

I have only played the game in VR and loved it. The mod worked great for me a year or two ago so unless a patch went through it still should. Since you’re an experienced VR player I don’t think you’ll have too much issue with motion sickness. That being said it takes a lot to make me nauseous, so your results may vary. I think it’s an amazing way to get drawn into the world.
So when the Padres got knocked out of the World Series last year by the Dodgers I was pissed. I didn’t want to put my support behind a team I didn’t love heart and soul. I’m going to wait for some more concrete information regarding it’s maintenance schedule before assuming it was because the jet was built by Boeing. A quick search of its registration (VT-ANN) show that it’s been flying for a bit over 12 years now. So unless there was a software update pushed by Boeing it’s likely unrelated to who manufactured the plane.
I used to keep a tally of how many people asked me if I was a robot when I worked at a call center. Every time someone asked the conversation basically followed the bullet points you laid out lol. The company did also use my voice for the intro/directory, so that probably didn’t help.
Before then I worked at Disney and they filmed/recorded me a couple of times for international training videos and the like. I’ve always spoken clearly and enunciated properly ¯(ツ)/¯

A large portion of his ‘congregation’ were Black Americans who were beaten down by the status quo at the time. The whole story is harrowing, even more so when you put it into the context of the time period it took place in.
I also can vouch for sh.itjust.works. They have a fair defederation policy and has only gone down a couple times in the two years I’ve been using it. When it has the admin has been quick to address it and provides updates via a matrix chat.
The one downside is that some more niche domains have degenerated defederated (thanks autocorrect) from us due to the open enrolment we have (beehaw comes directly to mind). I recall someone linking a website that tracked what servers are federated with each other but I can’t find it now unfortunately.
I know it’s most likely going into a void, but I’ve also worked in a call center that sent out automated texts. I wouldn’t bet on someone seeing the response, but I know it’s possible.
