  • Only because the methods employed are stupidly wasteful and overcomplicated. The process needs to be overhauled in a logical and pragmatic way. The problem with current means of execution is that feelings were brought into the equation in the first place.

  • Why waste resources on one who has proven themselves to be the worst kind of man? He won't learn a lesson. He doesn't deserve an opportunity to ever rejoin society. Your suggestion is to house, feed and provide medicine for this monster for the rest of his life. To give him what millions of Americans can not obtain. You want to reward his actions.

The death penalty is not revenge. It's not a lesson. It should not be seen as some deterrent. It's culling a sick animal so it can't do any more harm to the rest of the population. It can be done quickly, humanely, and even cleanly though the cheapest method would make a small, containable mess.

  • You can have my lemon. Ketchup for me thanks.

  • I get 24 hours of sick time for the year.

  • The slaying of dragons should never have gone out of vogue.

  • We call them Republicans here in the US

  • Because people like the HR lady at my job think it's fine to come to a company function with a fever and pour drinks for everyone. Fucking hag ruined the Christmas break for everyone in the plant. Nobody could visit with their families because one selfish person thought nothing of infecting anyone and everyone around her. Folks didn't learn a damn thing from 2020.

  • Beginner here, what is so bad about Ubuntu? I put it on a laptop this weekend and was running and installing software faster than any Windows install I have ever done. Firefox runs fine, the Mozilla email program hooked right up with my ancient Yahoo account. Blender runs like a scalded dog. Cura and prusa run good enough. I'm arguing with Muse and Ardour a bit but expected that. Spotify runs. I'm having a good first experience. So why the hate?

  • Windows 10 works with little to no intervention needed from the user and there is a metric fuckton of available software. The only time I ever had to chase a driver down was for an audio to USB recording interface that the last driver written was for Win 7, and 10 runs it in legacy mode flawlessly. Did I mention the metric fuckton of available software. 10 has never given us anything to hate but how often it updates, but 11 tries like hell to bully it's way onto computers it wasn't invited to. And if you do get stuck with it, none of the shit is where you expect it to be. The UI is ugly and clumsy. And you can't revert. And what box did you check that Win 10 is advertising at you?

  • Just installed Ubuntu to a laptop I recently acquired. First time using Linux. The learning curve is real and immediate.

  • You still think you're bidding against other people for housing. That's not the case, often, these days. Corporate land grabbing is the largest proponent of the housing crisis. That has to be ended before anything will get better on that front. Education for profit is another absolute crime against the citizenry. College should only cost what education costs, not what it costs to hire the fucking football coach and build a goddamn stadium.

  • No. Purchase ingredients instead of products. Stop buying the highly processed, ready to consume, expensive but easy options. It's hard. It is, but it works. I could never afford to feed my family on TV dinners and frozen pizza, but we eat well because rice is cheap and veggies are filling and meat can be stretched. Herbs and spices are a bit of an initial investment, but they go a long way. And believe it or not, eating till you feel full every time is not good for you. And the more you do it the more it takes next time. And commercial food is made to make you try, but also formulated to make it harder to reach that feeling.

  • We don't elect those. They are appointed by the president. Also highly undemocratic.

  • All of my DeWalt gear straight up fucks. Anything else is toys though my Incra router table swings a fat Makita and my mitering chop saw is a Rigid.

  • More like %30 of the 50 people they interviewed in some Alabama Walmart parking lot. Polls like this are blatant propagandist horseshit.

  • Can we give Texas to one of the Mexican cartels so they can find out how good they had it?

  • They do. They even come in "pill" form. Unfortunately nobody gave Trump his when it would have done the most good.
