  • Experiencing social consequences for saying something people disagree with is not infringing on your freedom. Unless they band together and try to go further than simply not liking what you have to say, how is that stopping men from saying their opinion on 4chan?

Independently, I wouldn't call 4chan a liberal place. As far as I know, 4chan started and participated in activities in the past that go far beyond simply not liking an opinion. They doxxed, harassed and threatened people, among other things. And with support from many people on that platform.

  • Can you give a few examples of what men can't say or do completely freely in liberal places?

  • Can you give a more precise example? I hope you do not mean individuals who write stuff online. In what way do left oriented organisations treat all men like they are bad?

  • How exactly are men treated by the left? Perhaps you can give some examples so people understand what your problem is.

  • Which of those issues are in place because men are oppressed as being inferior instead of being gender expectations that feminism targets? Meaning: which are a consequence of gender expectations?

High suicide rate is connected to men more likely to have access to guns and because they are less likely to go to a doctor because of gender expectations.

Loneliness is on the rise for everyone. Some studies find more loneliness in women. The idea of "the male loneliness epidemic" is meme that just generates tons of clicks and engagement. It's not real.

For the work place it's again a problem of gender expectations. It's not because people see men as inferior.

    So are the next three.

Men are actually more likely to get custody if they ask for it. You have fallen for a manosphere conspiracy theory that has no basis in reality. Women more often get custody because when both parents work, the men's job is respected, the women's isn't. They get automatically assumed to be the caregiver because of gender expectations. The only thing a man has to do is literally ask for custody. On the other hand, a single mother who is expected to do the brunt of the caregiving, can't force the father to take more time with the kids. Simply because of gender expectations.

  • Sadly, this is normal online. Many people with some sort of exposure online will receive death threads. Some communities are more prone to it than others.

Pokémon, Sonic, Osu! and many Gacha Game communities, for example, have an unusual amount of crazy fans. When you attract their attention you will become a topic in their communities.

  • I did have a smartphone, so I was able to look up several steps I could try. For example installing an experimental driver. In the end I had to install kubuntu and purge xfce, since they had a working driver in their library.

Since I had to type in all commands blindly the worst part was obviously wondering if I mistyped somewhere or if it just didn't work. When I lost track I used the beep command to check if I was stuck.

  • Nooo I have so many.. This one I can explain in English:

    Xubuntu but blind

So, this is ~2016. Ubuntu is hip and a handful of my students use it. On my PCs I only use Debian and Suse. So to help them better I take out an old ASUS laptop and install Ubuntu on it. Try out Xubuntu instead.

At that time I was also huge into alternative keyboard layouts. I had a slightly modified Neo keyboard layout installed when I switched to Xubuntu.

Here the fun starts because the obscure internal graphics card built into the laptop didn't have driver support under Xubuntu. Black screen but I could hear it working. This was the hardest driver fix I ever did. No monitor and a keyboard layout I wasn't used to, under a Linux distro I wasn't used to. And I also was at the university library, so no hardware support or Debian stick in reach.

  • You have to tweak ARK (on your own server) to make it a good fit.

  • You can get Coromon to work on Linux. I play pretty much every creature collector game that gets released and Coromon is by far the most "a better version of Pokémon" I know.

People compare Palworld with Pokémon for superficial reasons, it really isn't a Pokémon-like game.

  • Green Hell + Vox Machina

    That's just weird ...

  • Humans are Salad.

Unless they are still digesting, than they are often salad with croutons.

  • Flatbread yes. Most people I know either stuff their pita or fold it, so that would be a taco?

  • I love the small but powerful LED lights that can light up an entire room. Was able to impress a few people in just the right moment with those and always have one with me.

  • Yeah, I know... I've given up at that front with some of the comments here... It's unfortunate, but I feel the whole issue with many topics in nutrition is that it's unreasonable to expect for most people to read up on organic chemistry and metabolism lol And even if you have some understanding, much is still far from understood well.

So most people end up with a superficial (mis)understanding. And Fruits, Corn Syrup, fresh juice, "100 % juice but actually it's concentrate" get all tossed together in one bag because omg Fructose.

I've certainly seen an increase in people on- and offline claiming fruits are essentially death cookies. Sometimes even expanding that to peas etc. because they realised Fructose is in them.

  • I am interested how someone is supposed to live a healthy life without fruits and vegetables. Sure, you do spare the calories that stem from the Fructose, I guess.

  • Health impacts.

I feel like you try to derail the conversation and move goal posts to "be right".

Fruits and vegetables contain Fructose, Fructose has a smaller number of negative health impacts than Saccharose and Fructose is metabolized differently in our body than other sugars.

The intravenous administration or other consumption of very high doses of Fructose, often in obese and/or diabetic patients in studies, has been identified as a potential risk factor for fatty liver.

That doesn't mean eating fruits and vegetables increases the risks for a fatty liver. It also doesn't mean Fructose and Saccharose are the same.
