  • I moved off docker engine and to colima for this very reason. Mounts are speedy now

  • The author chose to host on a platform that does that. So it is their fault

  • Well Twitter is already full of xcrement

  • Best way to learn is to dive in and try to accomplish something you want to do

  • I assure you I am not a repost bot. I saw the article on hackernews and thought it was worth sharing

Not sure if it does all you want, but the basics are there, and it wouldn't be beyond the pale to make something like this do what you want. The code is pretty clean

  • The article discusses how it's better than webp. Specifically, it's much better at both compression ratios and performance, at all quality levels. WebP has problems where the compression falls off due to being locked to yuv420

  • The fact that signal uses phone numbers as it's primary identifier seriously undermines their privacy claims. AIM with both parties using OMEMO was more private and secure

  • I assure you it was free, as I worked there in 2010-2011, and built many bots and tools using said api thereafter. I never paid a cent, and none of the people using my bots did either

  • Reddit's API never had a fee, it was always free. Reddit was built in an era where there wasn't really much difference between an API and the HTML view you see, they both had the same backend code, with minor differences on the presentation layer.

  • Wait, they're not bringing Glorbo back? Aww, I was going to reinstall WoW for that

  • A dedicated computer can be a raspberry pi or thin client you buy on eBay for $50 and run Linux on.

If you want to have a site somewhere else show them you can send the traffic over a wireguard tunnel, and have the site elsewhere on the same tunnel display the video

  • Unifi cameras support it, but I'd not expose the camera to the public internet. I'd use a proxy or restreamer

  • Panel gaps that make the grand canyon look narrow

  • If only there was some extensible protocol for exchanging messages and presence information.

  • They're so desperate. Wonder when they're going to relaunch other turds like RPAN

  • Lololololol
