  • I don't know if they will be a good choice for where you live, but look up "Sur La Table". They're a high end cooking supply store from my area and they do ship. It's going to be pricier than Amazon, but they only sell good stuff.,

  • I recently got an Asus zenfone 10. I usually buy midrange phones but this time I couldn't find a good one. I like small phones, and they seem to be an endangered species these days. This one also has a headphone jack which is nice.

  • Places using "gluten-friendly" to mean "gluten-free". I am gluten-UNfriendly. I do not want gluten. They've tried to be cute and actually managed to make the term mean the opposite of what it's supposed to.

  • A lot of older tech had a way more interesting silhouette. You can see this clearly in how many objects live on in icon form. We still often use handset phones, magnifying glasses, gears, or the infamous floppy disk save icon. I think the staying power of these really comes from how ephemeral and formless digital tech can be.

  • If you want to double down on the puzzle aspect, check out Toki Tori 2. It's a metroidvania side scrolling puzzle game. The wild part of it is you basically only have 2 moves, but you have to figure out how to use those moves to solve puzzles in the environment to progress. There are no actual hard walls like in a regular metroidvania, it's just your understanding of how you can manipulate and influence objects in the world that gates you from getting to new places.
