It's not that it's deplorable, it's that it's comical given the context of him making a career being a self-deluded unconvincing badass.

You assuming these people would get around a background check based on absolutely nothing is not the rock-solid argument you think it is and it's certainly not justification to continue to do nothing to stop people slaughtering toddlers.
