  • Go corner a wild animal and see what happens.

For those that have only lived comfortable and safe lives, the line where they bite back is far away, and for others that know pain or oppression, the line is a lot closer. But the line always exists, and with the way everything is going right now, we are all diving face-first over that line sooner or later.

  • Well, now I really want to see the results of such a study. My hypothesis is that it actually has more to do with the activities each computer is used for rather than the actual OS. As in, gamers (Windows) are more likely to be tech literate than authors (Mac), or graphic artists (Mac) are more likely to be tech literate than office workers (Windows).

  • I'm not convinced we have any hand whatsoever. The world economy might be thrown into a bit of chaos, but more and more countries are starting to tell the US to go fuck itself. It's not inconceivable to think of the US being completely irrelevant and ignored economically within the next decade.

  • Thanks, Potential-Future-Boss-Man, for letting me know you're an actual piece of shit who has unclear expectations and plays games with their employees. Now I know to work quite literally anywhere else.

An interview is a business transaction being negotiated and requires equal participation from both parties. The only 'thank you' that should be exchanged for such things is a solid handshake and a polite "Good day" when the interview is over. Be respectful and sincere, but don't buy into the childish "I'm the boss and you must grovel at my feet for a penny" game that so many managers and corporate assholes love to play.

  • One of the big problems is even more basic than the evils of capitalism, as you mention. If there is some asshole looking to hurt you or your kids, suddenly there is a perfect (and apparently public) record literally advertising the kids' exact location at all times.

  • I don't think Nintendo gives a flying fuck about my 'reinforcement', positive or negative. All I'm trying to do issue a warning about where these kinds of decisions and policies can very quickly end up.

Today, it may be a good thing (I would argue its not, but not the point rn), but as soon a money can be made, they will weaponize it. It's what capitalism does.
