The problem is that's only half the battle. What do you do when his legions of supporters decide they don't like losing and take it out on the rest of the country?

That's not a bad philosophy when all you care about is the moral victory. If you care about results however, there's little use in pearl clutching and acting offended by the idea of fascists doing fascism. It's what they do. I don't blame the crocodile for eating the baby, it's a dangerous reptile that needs to be put down, but it's predictable and doing exactly what it's programmed to do. I blame the adults who sat around and assumed they could allow the baby to wander that close to the water's edge without anything happening, all the while filling its' head with pro-crocodile propaganda. Individual humans are intelligent beings with agency, groups of humans are stupid and vulnerable to manipulation. Time to get your gun and go gator huntin'.

The rural exodus happened for many reasons, none of which have to do with the availability of high-speed internet. People are born where they are born, and often live there too. Sometimes that place is densely populated and replete with amenities, such as the Alps, sometimes it's not. You don't have to be an uneducated dick.

Yeah, but there's also a bunch of pretty cool people too. Seriously, come to Ohio and see for yourself. Pop an edible and wander around the Cleveland art museum for a few hours, go for a bar crawl in Athens, see the big basket. Columbus is one of the most LGBTQ friendly cities in the country, and has large east and west African populations. The people in between are polite and friendly enough on a Saturday afternoon, even if they're fascists when you turn away.

I won't pretend it's not run by a fascist party, it's a fact that deeply saddens me. I'm currently saving money to move out, but I'm going to miss this place for the rest of my life.

You misunderstand, I don't object to the slaughtering of animals, I object to the slaughtering of animals openly in a residential area. Amateurs aren't going to use proper sanitation. One sick goat and the whole neighborhood has cholera or whatever the hell goats carry. That is of course assuming people are actually doing it in the first place.
