  • Honset question: How many of these bookmarks do you use regularly? Can you trim them down to a much more manageable number of bookmarks?

I periodically go through my bookmarks and purge ones I haven't accessed in a while because they're not actually serving any purpose.

  • This kind of "manual" alignment should be avoided for many reasons including the fact that adding/removing/changing of one parameter here may force you to modify multiple lines which on it's own is annoying but this will also show up in the diff during review making it harder to grep what was actually changed.

  • I've switched over to Proton for email, calendar and drive. I still haven't found a replacement for Google Photos but I'm looking for one.

  • Duck Duck Go has been nothing but great since I switched a few months ago. It's like Google from 10 years ago.

  • This would probably be a better request for Lemmy than Sync.

  • Can confirm this works. Just upgraded a 256 GB SSD to a 1TB one... and it was my OS disk... and it was LUKS encrypted. Everything is working fine (maybe even better).

  • I don't even have a separate /home partition but agree with the others.

  • This is how I do it, installed the LTS kernel and never had an issue updating ZFS.

  • Recently when powering off my laptop the system would get to the "poweroff" point but not actually power down. Is this fixed by this update?

  • This is equal parts cool and terrifying.

  • Yes, as long as you use the restore option, if a timer were to finish while Home Assistant is offline, when it starts up again the event will fire and any automations listening for the event will be triggered. Timers are incredibly powerful.

  • Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

  • Which is why they're so good at captchas. Letters and numbers are the objects they're trained to recognize here.

  • Where is this option? I don't see it.

  • Not sure if you're joking but Trevor died a couple of years ago.

  • As an Arch user this is how I feel about Manjaro as well. Installing Arch not only allows you to customize every aspect from the shell to the DE and more but also teaches you how to maintain and fix your OS when it breaks.

The best Arch-based distro is Arch.
