  • they want your phone number so they can track you.

  • No offense to companies but I'm honestly sick of companies forcing 2fa. Every single one seems to have a different shitty way of doing it. Like why on earth do I need two different authenticator apps on my phone (authy&google authenticator)? Some do sms/phone number, but then yell at you and prevent you from doing 2fa if you have a "bad phone number". This happened on discord where I'm locked out of certain servers because I can't do phone verification, and I can't do it because discord doesn't like my phone number. Twitter was the same way for a long while (couldn't do 2fa/phone verification due to them not liking my number).

From the article it sounds like they're doing authenticator app or sms. I'm guessing sms won't work for me, so app it is. I decided to dig to see which authenticator app they use and they list: 1password, authy, lastpass, and microsoft.... no google?

Honestly, even email requirements for accounts is annoying because you know it just ends up spamming you. is the future where we're gonna have to have 30 different authenticator apps on our phone?

  • private music trackers never have anything I want to listen to tbh, and they're always way too hard to get credit for. kinda pointless.

  • I like muffon for streaming. I select vk as my source which has all the weeb/jp/doujin music that I like. I also very often use youtube music (with revanced to give ad-free listening). There's really not a lot of good options out there for music if you listen to anything other than the most mainstream stuff.

  • I'm gonna go with Everything Everywhere All At Once. But a close contender, perhaps tied, is the Barbie movie.

  • I saw the title and was about to start calling bullshit but then I actually read it and it's honestly the most adorable and wholesome thing. Her patch is greatly needed, and is critically important. I can't believe that such a major bug was missed by the dev team.

  • The type celebrating nudity in baldurs gate are usually prudes who argue for censorship, oppose nudity and sexual content, etc when it comes to Japanese games. Sane people are pointing out this obvious hypocrisy.

  • This. Stremio is great for discovering content.

  • People aren't allowed to produce similar styles to other humans? So do you support disney preventing anyone from making cartoons?

  • It's actually not copyright infringement at all.

Edit: and even if it was, copyright infringement is a moral right, it's a good thing. copyright is theft.

  • I like this idea provided it's 100% opt-IN and not opt-out. Nintendo's 3ds streetpass did something like this and it's very cool being able to see what other people are in your area with a 3ds. A social media focused on this would be pretty neat IMO.

  • Did you watch the movie? Literally the whole ending sequence was about how great motherhood is.

  • The entire mother-daughter story arc, the mattel ending, barbie's ending, it's pretty much one of the core messages of the movie lol.

  • one of the core themes and messages of the movie is that motherhood is good actually, despite being shunned by feminists.

  • Honestly I assume anyone who isn't using LGBT has super fucked up and bigoted views about gay and trans people.

  • First, I do avoid them when I spot them. However, in many cases they take a beloved classic and then turn it woke. I have a problem because had they not pushed the woke stuff into it, it would've been a continuation or remake of a beloved classic. Instead it gets turned into garbage.

  • It isn't woke. Conservative critics misunderstood the movie. They're complaining that it's anti-motherhood (it's not, it's pro-), that it's anti-male (it's not, it properly recognizes men's struggles), etc. But the discussion is surrounding the more political/gender norm themes of the movie which are quite openly stated and talked about (sexism, feminism, patriarchy, etc).
