  • I would recommend reinstalling windows, because the activation key is still on the mobo, and you might as well use it. Then you can fuck around with dual boot, and try all sorts of Linux distros.

You can even put them on a USB stick and side load, without installing anything at all. This is great for testing, until you find one you like and pull the trigger on a dual boot setup.

  • I upgraded mine before I ever even turned it on. Now I just wish I'd gone with the 1tb instead of 512gb. I did get a hub, that allows me to connect external drive enclosures. A recent update just enabled auto-mounting external drives, which is nice.

  • I used to pull the product key stickers off parts we bought at my old job. Laptop bottom cover, with free windows 7 key. Every computer in my house is running Windows 11 pro, activated with a Windows 7 key, that was otherwise just going to get thrown away.

  • I was just razzing ya.

I will say I have a Poulan, and a Stihl, that BOTH go at like half throttle when you use the choke on a cold start. I would NOT put my testicles anywhere near it. You Have to squeeze the trigger once then it will go back to an idle and the chain doesn't "free spin" anymore.

I've also seen a loose chain pick up enough momentum that it cut right through my coworker's chaps. This is why you should always put the brake on if it's running but you're not actively cutting.

It's funny as shit watching someone have to clean the remains of their chaps outta the chain, and clutch though.

  • The clutch!?!?! You need to look at some chainsaw anatomy bud. 🤣 The centrifugal clutch on a chainsaw is under a panel on the side. You don't touch the clutch ever, at least not when the saw is running.

Almost every single chainsaw I've ever used the chain will free spin at start. Unless you have the chain lock engaged.

He doesn't have a hand on the trigger, but it doesn't really matter with "ol buzzy" when she first fires up.

  • Some other quick picks from it:

    -Improved sleep resume speed.

    -Improved Bluetooth connection stability.

-The performance overlay can be customized via configuration files.

-An upgraded Arch Linux base for the operating system.

-An upgrade to the KDE Plasma desktop mode.

-Fixed an issue where certain workloads would exhibit severe CPU performance issues unless SMT was manually disabled.

-External storage devices are now auto-mounted when connected to Steam Deck.

That last one is pretty great, I can now much more easily connect my external m.2 enclosures for game storage.

  • I never read the book/books(?), thought the first season was cool. Seems like everyone who read the book hates it.

I thought it was interesting, visually appealing, and I pretty much binged the whole first season.

  • I saw this happening in real life one time, on the back of a Dodge Neon. Best part is they were in the parking lot of a Planned Parenthood. We cheered them on, then went about our business.

  • Minnesota is fine, buddy. Currently live in the twin cities, it's all good. Winter is a great excuse to buy a bunch of cold weather gear, really just have fun with it. I built a huge snow fort last winter, race track for the dogs with tunnels. I'm starting to like winter more than summer in my late 30s, I'm not so sweaty, don't have to mow the lawn.

Apparently there are some people here who challenge themselves to never go outside all winter. Park indoors, use the skyway downtown.
