  • As someone from twenty minutes south of MTGs district I'd like to point out that nearly every district (minus the one north) touching hers is firmly blue and she only gets elected because every rich and rural town in the area has been gerrymandered to fuck into one district. Certain parts of Georgia are deep red but the only reason she gets elected is fucked up maps.

  • I'm a big car guy so I typically use car makes and models but never ones I actually own, usually I'll go with some like SubaruImprezaWrxSti2012 except I scramble the order of the words and throw the year in a random position. This is really easy to remember while also being long and insane enough to be difficult to guess.

  • Okay I'm not a big fan of the guy either but calling him basically Reagan is super disingenuous. He's without a doubt the most pro-labor president we've had in my lifetime which is admittedly a low bar but he is far from Ronald Reagan.

  • I know in some places (EU) and maybe even some American states that law does exist, however judging by the truck and the cop car this image was taken in the south. In my home state of Georgia the only requirements to register a vehicle are two headlights, two taillights and turn signals on the front, back and rear. That's literally it. I have actually seen boats driving down the road sitting on top of a truck chassis. In fact those rules get even more lax if the vehicle only has three or less wheels in which it only needs 1 light and 1 brake with turn signals in the front and back.

  • Craftopia which is basically palworld without the Pokemon aspect. I got burned by that one a few years ago which is why I'm still reluctant to pick up palworld. I think they did the same with their other game (now removed from steam), but I can't remember the name of it.

  • "It comes just over a week after its president, Claudine Gay, resigned in part over her handling of antisemitism."

Is this just blatant misinformation or am I out of the loop? I was under the impression that she resigned over plagiarism while some people online criticized her for "antisemitism". I haven't read anything about antisemitism being a primary cause from any publication but this one.

  • I had relatively similar symptoms, maybe a little more mild but the tests didn't show up anything for me, however my boss had a lab test and he tested positive for covid. The doctors told him whatever new variant is out there doesn't typically show up on the at home tests.

  • Wait you're the original person making these?! Didn't know I was talking to a bona fide ecelebrity. I've been a fan of these pics for years, glad you made the switch over to Lemmy, I will watch your career with great interest.

  • You're lucky (or smart) to go with the 2018, my gfs 2016 Honda Accord does have physical buttons for the climate, but for some reason has a weird touch pad thing instead of a volume knob. It drives us both up the wall. The car is near perfect besides that but that one issue is enough to convince me to never buy a Honda of that generation.

  • That's a shame, I played sunset overdrive over quarantine, knowing it wasn't a huge success but weirdly got sucked into the world. I played it pretty much every day until I beat the final boss and had a great time with the world traversal mechanics. It kind of felt like a Saturday morning cartoon version of a Just Cause game.
