  • None that offer similar quality across the board in display, speakers, input devices, performance, battery life. Trust me I've looked. Alternative laptops aren't really any cheaper any more unless you get something of significantly lesser quality, in which case there's nothing surprising about that - something worse is cheaper.

  • I don't like Apple but they ship their devices with everything a basic user needs and if a high quality, completely for free. When you get a MacBook you don't need to worry about finding and downloading an external app for almost anything - from viewing any kind of file, to basic photo and video editing, to document processing, etc. And they don't track every minute thing you do and act like malware to try to make you use their products.

  • Yeah I got it for free with a purchase and have played a couple hours and it runs terribly, looks middling, and the gameplay is the most base aspects of previous Bethesda games except lacking even the exploration or cohesion.

  • It provides a massive set of CSS classes which allows you to do styling inside HTML instead of manually in CSS. It provides the benefits of consistency and reduces the need to name things which can be a big time sink. It only includes the classes that you use in the final build.

It does have the potential to significantly bloat HTML when many classes are needed for a given element though, and directly opposes the original intent that HTML defines only content while CSS defines styling.

  • Apples Notes because nothing else has the perfect amount of formatting, alongside exceptional sync.

Also Apple Mail for the same simplicity reason - Geary on Gnome is close-ish, but goes too far down the simple route. How does it not have a refresh button??

Also Logic Pro, mainly because there aren't any fully FOSS alternatives that even attempt a full-featured DAW, let alone with Drummer etc.

I also 'prefer' Apple's productivity suite over everything else, because it has by far the best UX, but I'm totally fine with LibreOffice too.
