While I don't think she has talked about Obama's war crimes or things adjacent to it, I find it hard to believe that she would be saying that seriously especially the both sides part. Tho her response to the criticism doesn't make it better.
We just don't live in a world where making the changes you want are encouraged. We have been thought to just accept whatever changes happen or at most file a suggestion that almost noone will listen to.
Obviously open source is different but it's still such a tiny minority compared to how the rest of the world functions
NGL I actually didn't know that I can do such a thing. I do still kinda have a closed source mindset in that anything I use I cannot change or Influence. Like I knew that other people can do that but I didn't know I can do that
You know you don't have to go out and look for those things, if by chance you learn that a significant figure has done bad shit that you don't support then stop using whatever they created.

Yeah I have stopped taking these headlines and hype seriously, we get such "discoveries" hyped up every couple of years. Obviously big if true but it's a damn big if.
They were talking about MRA's and how that movement is/was very misogynistic and just a backlash to 3rd wave feminism. That movement hid behind real struggles of men to just be misogynistic and uphold patriarchy.
Men have very pressing and real struggles however you can't solve those problems by hating women.
Perhaps you could have a system where you can link different accounts together, as in you have your main account from which you view and post from and a secondary account that just transfers the permission to view and interact with a walled off community. Obviously it would still require you to make a new account and link it but after the initial setup it would be fine.
One use that I can think of is if the instance is for a small irl local community. There isn't much of a point for non locals to see banter or events happening within a small specific area.
