  • Yep. Why is this? I stopped buying games because I end up sticking to the same ones and types that give me the most joy, where I feel like I'm achieving something and not wasting my time.

If i open a game now that's too difficult to learn, has too many key options, is too bright for or hard on the eyes, is gory, doesn't have bag space and wants to nickel and dime me for it, etc...I just stop. Red Dead Redemption - beautiful game and I crave to go back. It is too difficult and causes me so much stress. Not worth it. There was this other game I wanted to play. The controls and interface was just awful. Look around the world caused motion sickness and hurt the eyes. WoW - toxic community.

When you get older, I think you learn what works for you. What feels comfortable. What feels good. What makes you happy. Because that's what you're there for, to be happy.

  • We all shared together the passing of Rene Aubergenois and Aron Rosenberg on Twitter. Too bad the Twitter mess dispersed everyone across platforms.

  • Hi, I'm glad I came across this post! I have a super super old HP printer. They were the best. I have to say mine is at least 20 years old, pre-wireless. It's recently had problems and I'm not sure I can fix it. I need a new printer.

I have heard of Brother printers but not always been one of the top printers - everyone likes Canon, HP, Epson.

I think I'll look more into them because of the non-proprietary ink. The ink of these printers is sometimes more than getting a new printer itself. It does not make sense.

I'm mostly an HP person since the start, so I'll still be looking into these too. Hope you have better luck with yours.

  • I doubt you're going to find truly neutral. We'll not know who is lying to us on any particular article.

For particular Gaza, Palestine news, you can read Al Jazeera. The Washington Post has good coverage of all the news.

  • Israel wants the land. They've been taking Palestinian homes and properties and kicking out the owners for many years. They've requested that people in northern Gaza move out, and go south or be killed. They plan to take Palestinian land for themselves, imo.

  • Shunning happens with all society now, for less than this. Except it's called ghosting. Or "cutting off" of family members. It's shameful and no different, except we do it whenever we want, for whatever reason seems justified to us, without caring for the party we are doing it to. At least with Amish, everyone knows the rules.

We can't point at another section of society until we fix ourselves.

  • In California, fast food workers wages will go up to $20 an hour we found today. That's more than some college educated people make. Something is wrong here.

  • When the creator of Stardew Valley can charge $14 for his awesome game, and put it on multiple platforms and release updates for jo extra cost, and not charge subscription fees, and everyone can mod it and be happy, and the creator has made multimillions by now ... Other companies need to take note.

From someone who worked at a company who wasted tons of money and had too many parties, excess staff and ceos who made excessive salaries, if these gaming companies are charging too much they need to look internally to fix issues instead of asking their customers to fuel their greed.

  • Is your life under your own control, all the time? Mine sure isn't. I'm a person of faith. I believe everything is our destiny, good and bad, for a reason. All is our test, and this world is a test for everyone, including you and your friends.

You are so kind and caring to want to help everyone fix their problems. We are supposed to help each other. But it's not our responsibility to fix others' unfixable problems. Heck, we can't even fix our own. Nothing in this world can fix some of our problems. Only a Higher Power can change it. We just take things one day at a time.

Your friends don't expect you to come in and fix their problems. You just being there for them is so good. Many people don't have that. The people around you are fortunate that you care so deeply.

  • Now what about the rest of everyone? There need to be regulations for everyone, including gig workers, to make more money.

  • Not worth the stress. I mostly only post now if my comment is helpful (like someone is asking a question and I know the answer) or I'm posting something positive. I learned not to get into it with folks. I do not post in political or news or opinionated areas, and mostly stopped reading them. Someone always has the opposite opinion, and instead of being kind about it, they snipe and snark (you're lucky if you get just that!)

  • We always knew that. What they don't tell you is your phone is also secretly listening. "Ok Google" <- turn that thing off too

  • I like this but would rather see a multi country coordinated oceanic study. We're all in this together.

  • I've been with Namecheap so so many years. Highly recommended.

  • I don't think so. We had that "hurricane" in Calif that was mostly in Arizona. I have multiple friends there and I know the temps dropped that time a couple weeks ago. So it may have been 54 days this year, but not consecutive.
