  • Happened to me with World of Warcraft. Went on vacation and I was banned when I got back. Put a lot of money into that. Logged in a few years ago and all of account stuff was deleted. Gotta love when you're erroneously targeted.

All I was doing was going to a vender in the wild and buying thread for some silver and then selling for gold on the auction because high level players were lazy and didn't want to go find it. I was low level and had a ton of gold. It was fun. But unfortunately there are people that follow that pattern and are breaking rules. I matched it and got banned.

  • I'd argue that drugs can help the individual do things opposite their current nature. To shake them out of the box they're currently stuck in. Some people can see how the way they feel doesn't match their current situation on their own steam. Some need drugs to help them focus on that. The questions we don't ask ourselves when that connection is noticed are the ones that have the strongest possibility of allowing us to change our views and remove that which is unhelpful from our lives so we can be the best version of ourselves.

I've been noticing in my own life lately that things are going great on all fronts and yet I'm miserable. I had not paid close enough attention until I had to bring up the discussion of how our language (literal words) shape our perception of reality with my kids. Now I'm seeing why I'm mostly miserable because I'm actually hearing what words I use daily. Language shapes us more than we realize.

Concentration skills gained through meditation and self contemplation can help us without drugs. Though I'd argue that drugs are often key to breaking cycles so we have the energy less spread out and we can focus on the issues we actually have. There is a time and place for them. They cannot become a crutch.

  • MDM managed devices would make situations like your mother's much easier to manage and handle remotely. Lock down all the stuff she keeps messing up. Id love to have hardware that I could walkaway from that was cheaper than apple and had management like it when using an MDM like Jamf.

  • I am always wary of this behavior. So I basically try saying vague things about something only that person would know and if the answers are not in line then I assume they are no longer the right person.

As long as you aren't malicious I don't think it's horrible though sadly in today's world this should probably be protected against. You could very easily take advantage of an unsuspecting person.

  • True. When I accidentally sent someone a message because a person in my contacts changed their number without telling me I didn't get a cute reply. It was literally for me to fuck off. People are so fun and kind.

  • OneDrive integration in Windows reality pisses me off. I shouldn't have to do so much modification to windows to get it to stop starting up. But then again I have some crazy bad luck when it comes to computers. I've worked in computers for almost 3 decades and no one reports having issues like I do. My colleagues admit that I may be cursed. Either way I think windows is pushing things a bit too much. No one should have to modify the registry or have to go through command line/powershell just to stop being nagged. The last few times I have gone into the task manager and disabled them on start up they get turned on again after Microsoft pushes an update hence why I'm using the simple wall firewall app. What is a non story for you just might not be for others. And that could be a simple thing like you being in a different update channel. I'm not sure but I think updates can also be affected by your location/geography data. Either way I don't doubt I'm going to be shamed and told I'm a fool so...

  • I feel for both of you. You're stuck in a tough place. There are different types of antibiotics if memory serves me well so it may be best to see if there is something else they can prescribe that might be less devastating or at the very least some probiotics that you can put him in that will help offset the gut issue. I am only speaking from what I've heard my wife talk about for herself. I was on antibiotics so much as a kid that my gut bacteria has never properly recovered. I have yet to find a probiotic that works for me. They all make me sick. Almost everything makes me gassy and in pain so I really feel for your pup. Not sure if they make a gasX product for pets but that may help too.

  • I have not used it nor have I seen prompts for it yet. But if it follows their usual pattern it'll be very in-your-face about it and give every indication there is no choice but to use it which will be the same as required or forced for most users. It's evil/deceitful practice in my opinion. I'm irritated every time Microsoft teams updates I have to disable and block it with Simple Wall firewall app.
