  • The point is that who do you expect the young men to go to? The only people willing to speak up for them are the types of Andrew Tate, Joe Rogan, Jordan Peterson, Jocko Willink, David Goggins etc. Can you name a male role model you approve of?

  • Yes you are. Instead of engaging with the content of my argument, you're attempting to discredit it by implying I'm parroting a biased media outlet - suggesting my view is invalid not because of its reasoning, but because of its supposed origin or alignment. It's a bad faith logical fallacy meant to undermine credibility without addressing the substance.

  • That’s what I tell myself every time I see someone misbehaving. I don’t believe in free will the way most people do, so assigning blame to the individual doesn’t really make sense to me. I basically see people like that as malfunctioning robots. I might not want to be around them, but I’m not blaming them for what they are - because I don’t think they could’ve been otherwise. We’re all slaves to our genes and environment. If I were in their shoes, I’d act the same way. I don’t blame bears for being dangerous either - I just try to stay away from them.

  • The thing about propaganda that's often overlooked is the fact that it isn’t just about controlling what people think - it’s about controlling what people think other people think.

  • It’s the emergency dispatcher who picks up when I dial 911, not the police - but yeah, they don’t laugh when you report unlawful intrusion and theft, and neither do the police. So I’d say they’re pretty good in that regard.

  • Finns are quite similar in the sense that we tend to say what we mean and be quite direct - some might even say blunt. I just find the framing a bit weird here. This seems to be less about saying sorry and more about the general style of communication. Ofcourse people say sorry when there's something to be sorry about.

  • I quit Yellowstone after 2 episodes but then later got back into it and ended up loving it. It's quite hard to pinpoint what it is exactly that I so loved about it but probably has something to do with the beautiful scenery, slow pace, good vibes and the realism.

  • The gorilla has the strength, but not the stamina. The first 20 men would probably die or be seriously injured, but over time, the constant waves of attacks would wear it down. It would get immobilized by people clinging to its limbs, blinded from repeated eye pokes, and eventually overwhelmed and strangled under the sheer weight of bodies piling onto it.

  • Just because it’s a red state doesn’t mean everyone there supports Trump. AOC and Bernie definitely have passionate followings, and they can fill venues - but that kind of enthusiasm doesn’t always translate into broad, general-election support. If you polled random voters - especially outside of activist circles - both are often seen as being on the political fringe. I actually think Bernie might have had a real shot if he wasn't 300 years old and the democrats didn't conspire against him, but with AOC, I think her public image is already too polarizing to win over the kinds of voters Democrats would need to flip. If anything, I’d imagine the MAGA crowd would love for her to be the nominee because they know how easy it would be to rally their base against her.
