The nuke plant is expensive. Renewables aren't. And your argument ist essentially "but based on made up numbers that illustrate how inexpensive nuke plants could be, nuke plants could be much less expensive! Duh!"

Yeah, no. Build renewables.

Am a renter. Recently got two solar panels installed, maxing out at about 600 watts. It's called a balcony power plant and you essentially just plug it into an ordinary outlet.

I don't recall Apple making iMessage an optional messaging app you don't have to use.

But... it is optional. Opt-out, sure, but optional nonetheless. I have disabled it on my work phone.

Sentience is hard to measure though. Also I had a weird discussion with my neighbour once who argued that in order to kill fewer sentient beings, we should eat the bigger ones as the ratio of meat per sentience was better, so we should really eat whales. Which made it pretty obvious to me that a) he was nuts and b) sentience might not be the best indicator for ethic food consumption.

/edit That doesn't mean that I oppose the idea that eating plants is better. I'm just arguing against sentience as a good indicator.
