IIRC didn't Microsoft hold the game back specifically to ensure it didn't launch in a horrific state? Bethesda games are known for being a nightmare at launch, and even with these assurances, I'm still expecting the first few weeks to be a mess. That being said, if any Bethesda game was going to launch well, it would be this one.
I grabbed Dead Space because it was verified and within twenty minutes it became pretty obvious I wasn't going to be able to play at an acceptable standard.
Honestly I don't really know. The game feels really tight and I found that just moving the guy around the screen was enjoyable. Obviously the visuals don't hurt either.
It had a little bit of Tunic in it too (or I guess Tunic had a bit of HLD in it), which is apparently something I absolutely need in my games going forward.
I feel like they've been saying something to the effect that 'the games are coming ' for a good while now, and either they don't turn up or land in such a way that people immediately forget about them.
Actually, nothing. I've bounced from Bloodborne to Hogwarts Legacy and I'm eagerly awaiting Trine 5, Lies of P and to a lesser extent Starfield so I'm kind of just...not playing anything right now. And you know what? That's pretty nice too.
If I didn't have two kids to keep warm I think me and my partner would probably have been in that number. It's not fun, but we can spend the time where we're not at work in massive dressing gowns and giant warm socks to keep the heat at bay.
Not possible when you've got a baby and a 4 year old though.
Basically it's a kid centric entertainment venue filled with slides, climbing frames, trampolines (in this case), ball pits and soft.... climbable things. The kids love it. I (as a 35 year old with a lower back issue) tolerate it.
It's the idea that Police officers are going to be standing around in Waitrose whilst regular people are unable to get more than a crime number off the police if someone breaks into their home and steals their dead Nan's jewelry collection.
Few months ago I played Hyper Light Drifter on my Steamdeck and it was an almost revelatory experience. I don't usually spend too much time with that sort of game but it absolutely drew me in and I finished it inside a few nights.
