I think you'd be hard pressed to find parents who are willing to load their primary aged children onto multiple busses to and from school nowadays. I know I wouldn't feel comfortable with that.
"Man who stands to gain from an increase in game prices advocates for increase in game prices".
Seriously though I'm not sure there's much more room to go on the top end when it comes to prices rises. I've got to think at some point you'll just push more people into buying at sale, or waiting for a game to hit their subscription platform of choice.
Maybe it's time we re-evaluate what makes a AAA worth £75 in the first place? And, what role do micro transactions have in this system, because anyone who's ever spent £75 on a new AAA game will know there's plenty of other ways they try to skin the proverbial cat.
I think like most people I'd just appreciate less bezel. The screen itself looks fine for me (not that I wouldn't be happy with an upgrade), but the larger issue is the bezel; it's kinda huge.
Could be wrong but I think Denmark does something similar to this, only it's significantly more generous. 90% for three years, with some pretty good incentives to train up along the way.
Even if you're one of those 'we don't want to become a nation of freeloaders' you can surely appreciate that removing the terrifying consequences of not being employed would make an awful lot of shitty businesses book their ideas up.
Remove their biggest bit of leverage and suddenly they'd have to treat their workers with a modicum of respect and dignity.
To be fair (and again I can only speak to the UK here so maybe it's different in the US). If a takeaway place isn't on these sorts of services, then they're going to miss out on an awful lot of custom.
Why? Because it's more convenient dude, at least in the UK. Is it lazy?, yes. Is it negatively affecting the takeaway industry?, also yes. Is it more convenient than going out of my house when I've finally got the kids to bed and just want to settle down onto the sofa and wait for someone to bring me food? Absolutely it is.
I'd probably direct my anger towards the shitty companies who exploit you, the drivers and the customers rather than the people just trying to get some grub down their throats after a long shitty day.
Not exactly a conversation but my daughter really struggled to say 'bath bomb' the other day. It came out as 'bath bum', which is something much different.
Imagine the ego boost knowing you're so good at your craft that you made the man spontaneously and literally lose his shit. I'd never let him forget that I hold that sort of power.
I think Valve just said that there's no plans for a more powerful model in the next year or two. Granted that leaves room for a better display or battery.
He'll always be Dumbledore to me.
RIP.
