I think it's more about the fact that Texas national guard, under the orders of the state governor, are blocking border patrols from being in the area to assist or respond to emergencies or do their duty. Commending your humanity, friend. It's hard to see the problems that people like the homeless can cause in our day to day and not feel reproachful or angry. Even if I know the reason, and can empathize with the situation, it doesn't make the interactions any less jarring or frustrating when they're clearly in need or more assistance than they're getting and that lack is harming them AND the community they need to rely on for survival.
