Toss Linux Mint on a bootable USB, fire up a live version and play around a bit. I was in the same boat and am working on fully transitioning over. The only minor hurdles are Office 365 and other Windows-only programs, but there are ways to get those to work, or just run a Windows VM.
Without extortionate extra fees either. I recently wanted to crossplay Overcooked on my PC with a couple friends on my PS4. "Buy PSPlus for only $100+ to play this game online!" Yeah, fuck off.
There's likely substantial infrastructure upgrades needed to provide this power, and, as the article says, very little economic benefit to the community and is very much the opposite of energy conservation.
"Just have them..." is often not enforceable nor realistic.
Saskatchewan having being run by conservative dolts for a number of years, at least we've been able to keep our crown corporations. We enjoy some of the lowest prices in the country for mobile plans and auto insurance. Power and natural gas are quite reasonable as well.
Whoda thunk that when you remove the drive for profit, a business can be both sustainable and beneficial to the people, in that they are both customers and owners.
I use Docker LXCs. Really just a Debian LXC with Docker and then Portainer as a UI. I have separate LXCs for common services. Arrs on one LXC, Nextcloud, Immich and SearXNG on another, Invidious on a third. I just separate them so I don't need to kill all services if I need to restart or take down the LXC for whatever reason.
That's the Kenji way. Dry brine reverse sear is how I do most meat these days. Smaller cuts get seared in a pan, roasts and prime rib get blasted under a preheated broiler as high as my oven will go. And yes, always use a thermometer.
Right, as a homebrewer I figured that might be an interesting experiment. Just use some darker malts and make a mini pot of wort. It'd be roasty and sweet.
ERVs should be controlled by humidity, outside temperature, and time. Some come with an automated mode that adjusts run time and fan power with those. It'd probably be difficult to find controls that have multi zone, HA integration, and E/HRV features in one package.
Yes, it's a lot of words, but there's really nothing to keep track of after setup. I just go to my invidious ip rather than youtube.com and it works. There are very good tutorials available if you want to implement these solutions. That'd be a good first step rather than the 'I've tried nothing and am all out of ideas' approach.
"Working as intended."
