One UI 6 brings official Chromecast support to Samsung Galaxy phones

  • I just cast from whichever app I was using. For instance, I have the HBO app on my phone, I open it, find what I want to watch, and cast from there. I think the change is that you can cast your screen now whereas previously, I only was able to use screensharing with my Samsung TV.

  • I'd like this to be returned also. What's the reason for the change? There was and still is a setting to blur previews. This just takes away a feature.

  • I had been using this setting alone which I believe makes the preview red until you open it. But now everything is blurred only despite never changing the setting. The blurred setting is unchecked as I didn't want it blurred, I want it red. I turned them all off and back on, and it's still only blurred. Settings shortcut: Filters > Hide all NSFW previews

  • I think the crackdown is on certain types of devices and in phases. The first devices locked out were my android/google TV devices. A few weeks later, my xbox was locked out. My android phone still works, but can't cast to the TV now. Apple TV and ipad still work. Need to try the PC.

  • I take the train to work since my job pays for it, but I'm not going to pretend like it's faster than driving through traffic. If I drive, door to door takes 30 - 45 minutes depending on the time I leave. If I take public transportation, door to door it takes an hour and 15 minutes no matter what.
