  • Im not ADHD diagnosed. My hobbies last 2 weeks. I have not held a hobby for more than a month or so. I too burn out, or it's just not interesting, or I just don't have the commitment to get good at it. I want to do many things, but they always feel like work, rather than fun.

The only thing that stuck is programming, so I went to school to get better at it, got better at it, but now can't find a job.

  • I work in a family owned grocery. They use MSRP for most things. Distributor prices went up, which made store prices go up. Manufacturing prices probably also went up. But the markup that the store gets is about 10% less now (45% to 35%). They are still well off.

  • Not Dutch, but next time you go to a new place, check reviews or information regarding if they accept cash.

If this situation was different and you were adamant about paying in cash, you could argue that you don't have enough money in your debit, but did have enough in cash. They might pity you, but you are still attempting to pay your debt, and if they don't take it, you can argue that they refused the payment.

  • Red is complimentary to cyan.

If the cyan were switched with yellow, the can would appear blue.

Also, it's not our brains creating the red, it's our eyes. They get exhausted of seeing the cyan and replace it with red.

  • You make a good point about killing for food. I'm against killing animals for food and would rather we switch to lab grown meat. It's not fair to the animals that were created plump and killed unnaturally for the sake of eating. If it's a survival situation, that's different, you do what you can to survive. However, modern society is beyond simple survival, we have the resources and means to eliminate animal meat.

But then it begs the question "what about plants? They're alive right?" Also "what about lab meat? Even though they're not a full animal, it's still living matter."

To both those arguments, I'd say, yes, it's still not fair to those lifeforms, however it is much more humane to kill lifeforms without a brain, and that only exist to reproduce. Animals have emotions that we can understand. Fear, joy, and content. They are intelligent. Plants and lab meat are not.
