  • Changing region probably would be enough and no reset / reinstall is necessary, but we will see.

Doubt your IP location matters because if I am from EU and I travel to USA, MS should guarantee same compliance to EU laws.

  • It is, specifically MS Edge WebView. For example new MS Teams and new Outlook client are using WebView. Widgets are using it as well as do many other things.

This uninstall will most likely still keep Edge present, it will just be somehow hidden / not as easily accessible.

  • What do you mean. Autopilot is an enterprise feature. If you bypass Autopilot you are either circumventing your organization's policy or you bought a computer that was not removed from org properly.

  • Do not think I have experienced anything I would consider a bug in file explorer after using W11 for months. If you did an upgrade from W10 maybe a clean install or reset of W11 would help in your situation.

Using any 3rd party software that changes file explorer, start menu, Windows in general appearance?

  • You need to find appropriate storage driver that you then load during install (extracted in *.inf format not *.exe)

Possible alternative is to disable some proprietary storage related feature in BIOS / UEFI so that you would use standard drivers that are included in install. UEFI update might help as well. Usually there is a guide for all this.

  • Price difference has always been huge as far as I remember. I don't think I even have bought anything from Kellogg's myself, cost always seemed too high.

If I ever eat this stuff I prefer muesli over regular cereal. For me it tastes better and in general it should be also healthier since it contains real oats, nuts, dried fruit, sugar amount is not as high. That said I often take the one with chocolate pieces :)

  • Have never seen this as a consumer though. I remember buying a laptop 10 years ago without OS since it was cheaper than same model with preinstalled Windows. Checked a random laptop and same still applies, version with Windows costs 30 eur more in my local webshop for what seems to be the same model with same specifications (No English available, use translate if needed):

  • For me speed increase is pretty significant. Testing with Ookla's Speedtest I get around 60-100 Mbps download with 4G and around 300 - 500 for 5G so sometimes it's faster that my Wi-Fi which usually is around 300 - 400.

Realistically though I do not feel this difference, 4G seems enough. Do not see significant difference in battery life as well. In the past I think 5G did eat more battery where I am so I stayed on 4G for a long time before trying 5G again.

  • Switch to Edge would make sense due to how well it integrates with things like your Entra ID account, choosing Chrome now is bizarre. We also had Chrome as primary browser for years, but now we are pushing Edge as primary browser. Firefox was and still is an option for us as well.
