  • I'm guessing that the military as a whole has the same political leanings as the general population, with the majority being left leaning centrists and they will stand by the oath they took never to attack the American people.

    Fingers fucking crossed.

  • I hope the r/evilautism sub makes it to Lemmy. That one was always my favorite before my IP ban. It makes sense that autistic people would be more likely to receive Reddit bans than a neurotypical user, as we're statistically left leaning and don't really have filters. And we hate Musk.

  • It's funny that you mentioned this, because the crappy website is one of the things that sold me on it. It reminds me of the old internet.

It's also surprisingly affordable, I got a 3 year subscription for something like $60. I was during a sale.

  • There are so many people who don't seem to understand what "middle aged" means. It means halfway to your life expectancy. So maybe 40, considering the average man in this country dies in their 70s. Jack Black is past middle age at 55.

  • Absolutely true!

  • Poor people are fucking sick of hearing this shit. Especially as an unfortunate resident of the USA. I get no paid vacation whatsoever. I have to pay for my vacations twice; once for the vacation itself and again because I'm not working.

  • This made me cry. We really are losing our National Parks and forests, aren't we? That judges ruling gave me hope, and maybe it was that hope they made me think that the supreme court wouldn't do this.

    Fucking assholes.

  • Maybe you should refer to yourself as a geolibertarian instead of just as a libertarian. It would prevent some misunderstandings.

That's an interesting read. It's quite a bit different than what I'm used to people who call themselves libertarians talking about. I still think it would unwind and would be ruined by human nature, but it would be interesting to see such a system in action.

  • I suppose it depends on the kid. Fruit seemed like a punishment to me when I was younger, and then when I got older I wondered how I could have been so ridiculous.

Maybe I disliked it because "the man" wanted me to eat it because it was healthy. Maybe the rebellious kids are the ones who hated fruit, but not because of the taste.

  • In a purely libertarian society, parks wouldn't last long. They would either become prohibitely expensive and yet another thing only for the rich, or they would be harvested and the land mined.

Making them public is the only way to ensure they remain as they are.
