  • Price = $5 per square inch + $5 tip
    Total paid = $40

    x = (40 - 5) / 5
    x = 35 / 5
    x = 7 square inch

    Since no length, diameter, or circumference measurements were provided, the next part is speculation.

    A = 2 π r(r + h)

    If r = 1 inch, then h = 0.12 inch
    If r = 0.5 inch, then h = 1.729 inch

    I suppose that as long as Canibus, and any partners they have, are happy, that's all that matters.

  • Is that what space Karen and crypto bro scammers like Friedman use to justify not helping people right now and instead pumping money into their vanity projects but claim that will help humanity more?

            Not everything that is beneficial is measurable
        EA ignores the wider impacts of our activity
        EA does nothing to address the root causes of poverty

  • You're correct that they don't offer low end but their products are still over priced for what you get. Not saying that makes their products terrible - you do get a decent machine, you just have to pay more than its actually worth because it came from apole. It's part of their money making model - generates prestige which drives demand.

  • Politics is part of everyday life regardless of whether you care or not and I'm not talking about the media circus that is the US election machine but rather about the cost of products and services, prevention of crime and what is determined as a crime, the rules of how to conduct business, provision of services like roads, water, sewage by government/authorities and the rates of taxes that fund those services to make but a few. If you don't care about politics them I would imagine you have no opinions on anything of that nature and would never complain of your cost of living increased or you couldn't access medical treatment or call a fire station in a time of need or about who had the right to vote?

    Making voting mandatory in Australia also protects people who want to vote from being exploited by their employers. Imagine the scenario where there is a referendum on a matter that would be very beneficial to businesses but exploits employees. A corrupt business may decide to schedule their employees to work a 12 hour shift that would prevent them from being able to vote if the business knew it's employees would vote against the legislation when they want it to pass.

    You don't actually have to cast your vote in Australia, just show up but even if it was mandatory to cast it, they can always be spoiled. You could even write "I have no opinion on politics and don't want to vote for anyone".

  • Why is everything clickbait? I know some communities have rules about keeping the original headline as written but I don't know any that have rules against putting a meaningful description in the post itself. Do you get commission from clicks or are you just trying to collect worthless internet points? I really don't understand the mindset of some posters.

  • I get that for normal clients but letting it get to millions is a bit silly unless you have a guarantee of payment and I'm not one bit surprised this waste of oxygen isn't paying up/claiming he can't. I would insist on extra upfront on top but there's probably a reason I'm not a successful and rich lawyer

  • I couldn't do it but I understand that to have a balanced law system there needs to be lawyers to defend even the guilty. Some are ethically challenged and stoop to disgusting tactics but not all who defend the obviously guilty play dirty. Frustrating when bad people evade justice on a technicality but sometimes that's the fault of the prosecution for making a mistake, which of course happen as matter of course though that doesn't make it any more palatable.
