You know, The Infinite Monkey Theorem states that if you chain a room full of monkeys to typewriters and let them all beat the keys at random, for an infinite amount of time, they will . . . eventually . . . through sheer random chance . . . produce the comple works of William Shakespeare. Maybe in 10 trillion years or so. THIS is current state of "AI."

What Musk is proposing is like building an army of very expensive, very wasteful fusion-powered robots to beat the monkeys in the hope that the monkeys will work just a little bit faster.

This isn't the first time Microsoft has pushed telemetry and malware in its OS. But I think they have finally crossed the line with CoPilot. What they want to do with it is so incredibly obvious and intrusive that most people just won't stand for it.

This. "AI" isn't coming up with new information on its own. The current state of "AI" is a drooling moron, plagiarizing any random scrap of information it sees in a desperate attempt to seem smart. The people promoting AI are scammers.

I'm worried about my Steam library. Steam ended support for Windows 7 not long ago. How long will they Support Windows 10?

I've been trying out SearX and I'm really starting to like it. It reminds me of early Internet search results before Google started added crap to theirs. There's currently 82 Instances to choose from, here

It's an old desktop that doesn't even support Windows 11 hardware requirements. I built it back in 2009, so Windows 10 will be its last Windows OS. I don't want to dual-boot now and then have to upgrade and transfer everything in a couple of years.

I like to play games. If it weren't for that, I wouldn't use Windows at all.

When someone claims they want to improve your quality of life, you need to consider the source, especially when it's Elon Musk. And especially when he wants to screw with your BRAIN.

Your faith in the benevolence of billionaires is adorable but history has shown us that for the most part, billionaires are vain, greedy, brutal sociopaths. Especially Musk, who is an apartheid-loving fascist.

I think Microsoft's ultimate goal is to turn your computer into a locked-down console. Infested with data collection malware. And it won't allow third-party apps ever.

My next computer will be a dual-boot machine. I will use Windows ONLY for gaming. No personal info or activity on that partition at all. And I'll use Linux to get sh*t done.
