  • I don't miss constantly running around changing incandescent light bulbs! It seemed like there was always one burned out in the house somewhere. In my experience the newer bulbs don't necessarily last the length of time that's advertised, but they sure as heck last longer than the old style.

  • I don't miss the cassette tapes, but I don't miss even more the big cassette cases that I used to carry in my car with all the tapes in it!

  • I don't miss it at all, but I couldn't afford to do it today! The government is obviously trying to price people out of doing it. That's not why I quit, but it would certainly make me if I still was.

  • The gas station down on the corner. When I first moved here, I went there all the time because it was convenient. Gas, bread, soda, you name it, I would swing through there and pick it up. I stopped every single work morning and got coffee on the way to work. I started bringing my own insulated cup, so they charged me less. Then it was bought by a new owner, and he wanted to charge me more. Okay, it was still cheaper than if I used their cup and more convenient than making it at home - they provide the coffee, sweetener, creamer, and there's no clean up on my part. One day I went in with a new cup that was the same capacity as the old cup. A different shape, but it held the same number of ounces. The owner said, "that cup's bigger, I charge you more." I tried to argue, but he didn't budge, and he charged me the same amount as a large coffee in their cup. Now, I'm not stupid, I've worked in retail before, I know the largest cost to a cup of coffee is the cup, but I paid it, walked out the door, and never set foot in there again. That's been eleven years ago, and I don't plan to go back. I hope the few cents he greedily wanted over coffee was worth all the other lost sales.

  • Read all about it in this month's issue of DUH.

  • Am I the only one that sees Uncle Lewis from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation?!?

  • Thanks for the update!

  • Just wondering if you had time to make an .exe for Windows of this? I don't see it on the download link.

  • I didn’t read close enough and thought you said TikTok. I thought to myself, “TikTok has reminders?!?”

  • Thank you!

  • Okay, I'm not technologically illiterate, but I can't figure out how to get this to run on my Windows laptop. I got to the link, but I don't see what to download. Any help?

  • You don’t know? Sheesh, what a failure. 😀

  • They’ll never quit quitting!

  • I’ve always said that insurance companies will spend dollars to figure out how to cheat you out of dimes.

  • Oops, I am not. I guess this post popped up in my All feed, and I didn’t realize what community it was.

  • I love Shady Rays sunglasses. They've got plenty of different styles, all their lenses are polarized, they're not too expensive, and, if there's ever an issue, they will stand behind them and will ship you a new pair for free. I wore a pair with mirrored lenses to the beach this summer, and the salt scratched up the mirroring. I filed a claim online, and they sent me a brand new pair for free. The kicker is, if you lose or break them, they will send you a new pair for just the cost of shipping, which is usually less than 9 bucks.

I've got more pairs than I want to admit, because they keep coming out with cool new styles and lenses!

  • I mean, to be fair, they have the meats.
