  • If I use a USB device, does that mean I'm using an IBM/Microsoft product? No, it's an open source standard. Same applies to Brave, Chromium is a standard open source starting point to build browsers on- the only tie to Google is the developer of the original backbone for the program.

  • How do they make ad revenue when there are no ads, and the ones that show when you first install can be deconfigured?

  • Why should I trust Mozilla over Brave? Just because Mozilla is a nonprofit subsidiary doesn't mean that they don't have an incentive to make money for their profit handling corporate division, the Mozilla Corporation. I tried playing around with Firefox and not having the option to directly add a less-used search engine than the ones given without extensions was pretty sketchy to me. All of the complaints people have about Brave like ads and the weird crypto thing are very configurable in the settings, and I have a lot less compatibility issues compared to Firefox. Also, the source linked claiming all of this is a sketchy Neocities site that anyone could have made that doesn't even prove why Brave isn't private. I get that people are loyal to their favorite browsers but this is silly. If you really want to be private, use the Tor network, but all browsers and extensions need to track you in some degree to function.

  • It has tor built in if you're concerned about that

  • I own chickens and have had a bullying problem in the past. In the winter they have a lot less space and they get bored and stressed easily. The hen that took the "rooster"/protector role started pecking the smallest and sweetest chicken and drew blood. I had to keep the small chicken isolated from the flock for a few weeks while its wounds healed and put special goggles on the bully chicken for a month- they prevent it from seeing in front of itself so it forgets what's there after a few seconds. Yeah they can be vicious, but it's definitely preventable if they're raised right instead of at a factory farm.

  • They're intelligent and very instinctive birds from birth- that doesn't mean that they're vicious though. My chickens that I'm raising are all sweethearts. It's all a matter of their environment. If you overcrowd them in an indoor factory farm of course they're going to turn on each other, they're extremely stressed out. Chickens that are raised outdoors with lots of space and different kinds of food are a lot less likely to act up and turn on each other. You can even taste a noticeable difference in eggs from happy chickens.

Roosters on the other hand are usually fucking assholes.

  • Do you know where I can find a good list of all the Windows bloatware I can delete? I got most of the obvious ones but I'm thinking of less known ones like 3D viewer

  • 100% AI responses. They're pretending reddit is active

  • Is there going to be another war or should this just be considered a small scale attack?

  • Chicken holocaust enablers. I don’t want to come across as a crazy vegan (I’m not a vegan) but chickens are as intelligent as any other pet, if not more. My chickens recognize words and individual people, and are always figuring out sneaky ways to escape their enclosure. If we all raised our own chickens, there would be a lot less collective suffering on this planet. You only need to refill their feeder once a week, and you can compost their droppings to make pure fertilizer.

Edit: B...but my tendies!!!! All I'm asking is for people to consider eating chicken less often and to consider the suffering they go through as a species. They evolved to live in the jungle, not a cage barely as big as them.

  • Repeal 2A with exceptions for people who actually live in the wilderness or can prove they have a need to own one for their livelihood

  • You could probably just make a bot to generate AITA stories, they would be the same quality
