I hate how tv seems to be written by people who have no idea how regular people live. Like how in tv shows, people pop in on someone at home and person is fully made up and dressed, and their homes are always spotless. You pop in on me unexpected and I'm going to be in my boxer briefs, angry that I'm being disturbed, and there are kids toys and laundry all over the living room

I used to go to this Laundromat and next door to it was a good burger joint that served beer and had great food. Inside the burger joint was a light up board with all the laundromat machines and they would light up green when your load was complete. Must have been owned by the same people and it was a great business model. I'd go have a burger and beer every other week and watch tv in the burger joint till the light told me my stuff was ready

Not surprising. Canada has a legacy of sheltering shitbirds, so they've been around a while. Canada took in the Confederate leaders after the civil war. Jefferson Davis was allowed to live his life in comfort in Toronto after he betrayed his country. Canada along with Britain even aided the Confederacy by providing them with a fleet and supplies.

If you go to Southern Ontario, you find plantation style homes that were built by the Confederates after they came here.

I read it as a troll statement. Americans moralize to the world about treating women equally, but Americans also don't want a woman in a position of power, so I read it as the Taliban mocking the u.s for being just like them while being hypocrites

I remember I went to WrestleMania 18 as a teen and it was $100 a ticket and I was appalled at the expense. Most epic event I've been to. They're coming back to Toronto so I wanted to check prices to take my kid, and the tickets are roughly $1500 each now.

Pre pandemic (and pre metoo accusations against him) I went to a Manson/slipknot concert for $75. After the pandemic I checked tickets for a similar tier band and it was $300. We got fucked and just accepted it

I remember even when Biden was VP I kept reminding people what a horrible person he is. How he's one of the biggest proponents of the murderous, racist drug war, and the police militarization that came with it. Biden has blood on his hands. And when I would criticize him then and when I said he was a terrible candidate, you guys downvoted me and called me a right winger, because I was not "left enough", nobody ever is anymore for you guys. You're authoritarian hard left and you refuse allies and friends, you want everyone to follow your view to the letter or they're a "Nazi" even if it's a white leftist calling a person of color a Nazi. You guys are insane.

I'm Canadian. We have hate speech laws. 99% of us are never going to be hindered by or in any way affected by these hate speech laws. Because 99% of us aren't going around being Nazis and calling for violence and the extermination of ethnic races.
